This hot drama has continued to affect people in the entertainment industry, even though the celebrity who liked the post was under scrutiny. Mind Lapasalan in a clip where Pai Sunit Scott came forward to clarify about her younger brother, Sai Scott, prompting several celebrities to apologize and clarify the issue to ease the tension before deleting their comments and unliking the post.
Kan Chatchanan Chantachinda, or Kan KARNFOEI, a famous YouTuber from the KARNFOEI channel, posted a counter-opinion that stirred social media by viewing liking as simply encouraging a friend.
“I am utterly hopeless about this country, where liking a post is treated as a crime. Anyone who disagrees must apologize for something that isn't their issue. Meanwhile, when they are wronged, it is ignored. Wishing you prosperity, amen.” He also added in a comment, “You guys seem friendless, so you don't understand what it means to support a friend. So stop freaking out, stop creating a toxic society, try seeing things from others’ perspectives, and stop judging others.”
Kan’s post sparked heavy criticism on social media, seen as classist and insulting to ordinary working people.
Until recently, Fei Phat and the KARNFOEI channel team issued a statement announcing Kan Chatchanan's suspension and affirmed that his comments were personal opinions.
“Regarding the recent news about Kan's personal post, Fei and the company acknowledge the matter and clarify straightforwardly that these comments are Kan's personal actions and do not reflect the 'intentions and goals' or values the team upholds in running the channel.”
“We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt disappointed or uncomfortable due to this incident. As colleagues and friends who built this channel together, when Kan made a mistake and strayed from our goals, the company did not ignore it. We have had discussions, issued warnings, and seriously reviewed the matter. Going forward, the company will implement changes, including suspending and reducing Kan's role on the channel immediately.”
