Opening of “The Giving Concert” 3 Generations 1 Heart Charity Concert Series

The charity concert “Sing History: Love Songs of the Past,” the impressive opening of “The Giving Concert” 3 Generations 1 Heart series by Donation HUB and the Thai Red Cross Society in collaboration with Workpoint Group, was held at Siam Pikhya Hall, 7th floor, Siam Square One, on 9 May. The event filled the hall with generous donors and music fans joining together in the spirit of giving.

At the event, the lively host duo Senaling Somkiat Janpram and Kleua Kitti Chiewwongkul took the audience on a journey back in time to explore the history of the Thai Red Cross Society, which has stood alongside Thai society for 133 years. This story was told through carefully arranged timeless songs, divided into memorable performance segments featuring highlights that delighted the audience throughout.

Reflection of Faith: The concert opened with a theatrical play set in the founding era of the “Siam National Red Cross Society” in R.S. 112 (circa 1894). The delicate melodies of the past were expressed through the song “Samakkhi Chumnum” performed by Nan Sathida and artists from the Phleng Ek stage, alongside the sweet rendition of “Yard Phet” by Sunaree Ratchasima, set against the magnificent backdrop of Anantasamakhom Throne Hall. The mood was lifted with lively songs like “Red Rose,” “Doctor,” performed by Tuk Siriporn, Hai Arpaporn, and “What Are You Looking At” by the trio “3 Mae,” eliciting thunderous applause from the hall.

Charm of Luk Krung Songs: The concert revived the cheerful atmosphere of past Sanam Luang Red Cross fairs through the gentle voice of Alis The Golden Song (Alis Thanatchalak) and emerging artists from the Phleng Ek stage, including Thach Kittithat, Bank Chalermrat, and Boat Prayaya. They beautifully wove together classic Suntaraporn songs and beloved duets such as “Usa Sawat,” “Lan Lan Thom,” “One in a Hundred,” and “Ruen Pae,” capturing deep emotions.

Festive Entertainment: Revisiting the winter Red Cross fair legends, the stage came alive with joyful scenes. A key highlight was the lively transformation of the “Red Cross Fair” atmosphere, starting with a surprise from hosts Senaling and Kleua who shed their hosting roles to perform as “live outdoor movie narrators,” showcasing their skill dubbing the classic film “Red Eagle” with iconic hand-made sound effects that entertained and nostalgically engaged the audience.

The excitement continued with energetic performances by artists including Tuk Siriporn, Rial Kajbandit, and Bank, presenting classic luk thung and duet hits like “Jut Tai Tam Tor” and “Saen Saeb.” Special performances by Poolim and Bank of the song “Phu Yai Lee” reflected Thai cultural vibes in a fun and lively manner.

The festive segment concluded with the “Red Cross Ram Wong” dance, where all artists taught the audience how to dance together, turning the entire hall into a joyful dance floor filled with friendship and happiness. This beautifully connected the senses of celebration across all generations.

Flower of Life: This valuable composition by Professor Praphas Cholsaranon was created as a symbol of gratitude and a reminder of the power of sharing. Nan Sathida led the performance with a powerful and heartfelt voice. The song’s profound message includes the memorable line, “Give to you, give to me, give to each other, pass it on, because giving is the greatest beauty.” The lyrics weave stories of the Thai Red Cross Society’s humanitarian missions in four areas: disaster relief, medical care and treatment, epidemic prevention, and donation of blood, eyes, and organs—likened to “flowers” that bloom to bring hope and renew life for fellow humans in every crisis.

At the end of the show, artists from all generations joined together on stage to sing this song amid an atmosphere filled with joy and energy. This affirmed the Thai Red Cross Society’s commitment to always be a pillar of support for Thai people. The event reinforced the Society’s image of standing by the Thai people for 133 years, moving the audience to give a long, heartfelt applause honoring the beauty of giving. All proceeds from generous donors will be used to support the Thai Red Cross Society’s mission to relieve suffering and improve the well-being of the poor and disadvantaged nationwide.
