It immediately caused a stir and was widely discussed on social media after the Miss Grand boss "Nawatt Israkaisil" announced the appointment of "Sai Scott" or Sai Sirinath Scott, as one of the latest judges for the MGI All Star stage amid the family drama she is currently facing.
Recently, Boss Nawatt opened up about bringing Sai Scott on board, saying
"Actually, I contacted her quite a while ago but was cautious because of the current buzz. Some might say that once she became famous, we just grabbed her, which is partly true. We had chosen her some time ago but weren't sure when to announce it, so we held off. We selected her when the issues arose, recalling when she was a judge at MUT Pathum Thani, and we'd met at other events, so she came to mind.
But I thought maybe it wasn’t the right time yet, so I waited. After hearing her interview about the situation, I felt she was another role model who empowered herself, with thoughts beyond what we expected. She proved to be very credible, so I spoke with her, telling her the job would be tough because the scores are real, and she must work three days without absence. On the 27th, she needs to be with me from early evening for meetings until late at night; the 28th and 30th are also late-night sessions. At the very least, she must face the contestants directly.
She said yes, very happily, so I reconfirmed. Since she was busy after appearing on the "Hon Krasae" show, I called again to check if she could handle it. I told her to tell me if she couldn’t, as I hadn’t announced anything yet. Just a moment ago, she confirmed she could manage, no problem, definitely coming. I trust that when she agrees, it’s final, so I officially announced it."
Did the announcement cause a stir?
"Of course. We survive because of the buzz (laughs). But seriously, I had to say something first because the show includes images of the judges. If we suddenly released it without notice, people might be confused. Her image is shown without prior announcement, so I decided to tell people about an hour before to avoid confusion. Then the audience will see her photos and story in the hall."
Can we go back to the mother tormenting her child issue?
"I actually hadn’t posted about this for a long time. I’m hot-tempered and wanted to post earlier, but felt many others were already posting and supporting her, so that seemed enough. I was indifferent because I feared people might think I was meddling, as I usually only get involved in politics or issues directly affecting me. This was her personal matter, so I tried to stay silent.
But after watching Khun Noom Kanchai’s program, I felt that from all the information collected—both intentionally and unintentionally—this issue has shifted from a personal problem to a social one. Because the family involved is large and prominent in society, owning a well-known brand that supports sports, entertainment, and charity. We see their products stand for morality, ethics, and fairness, yet they neglected fairness within their own family.
I also feel that parents and children must support and depend on each other. It’s not just that the child complains about the mother or vice versa. From what I’ve heard, it seems the mother might be too distant, positioning herself above the problem and unable to care for the child. Therefore, even if she accuses her child of being ungrateful or abusive, I posted a second time saying that we should consider that a child doesn’t choose to be born but results from someone’s actions. It’s not about the child’s soul struggling to be born; you must look at what you did to cause the child’s existence. Thus, responsibility must be taken seriously, especially when sexual abuse occurs within the family, which should not cause further harm."
."
How do you feel about her calling for justice for herself?
"I think it’s good. This is just one case study. I believe there are hundreds of thousands of families in Thailand suffering from abuse, especially severe sexual abuse within homes—by siblings, fathers, relatives, or others. It’s all depraved. This is the voice everyone is raising, and now social media can help provide a safe space. Thank you."
