Nong Chachacha and Teng Terdterd Attend Sang Dok Sadaos Funeral, Share Message for Yommarat

The atmosphere was filled with sorrow during the Buddhist prayer ceremony for the famous comedian. Sang Dok Sadao or Mr. Mee Sakon aged 63, whose family held the merit-making and prayer ceremony at U Thong Temple in Suphanburi province.

Tonight, many friends and colleagues from the comedy industry came to pay their respects, including superstar comedians "Nong Chachacha" and "Teng Terdterd." Both gave interviews about Sang Dok Sadao to Thairath Entertainment, saying

Nong Chachacha revealed, "All comedians are close, especially P’ Sang. Whenever we met, it was always joyful. I think every comedian, including his friends, found him funny. He loved wordplay. When he spoke, his expression was deadpan—he wouldn't laugh at his own jokes. Like when he appeared on P’ Mum Jokmok’s show, he was truly funny, cheerful, and being with him was enjoyable.

When I organized an event at a noodle shop, he originally planned to come just one day but his car broke down, so he stayed three more days. During that time, he made us all laugh and be happy throughout the shop. He was genuinely joyful and fun. I was shocked at how quickly he passed.

Asked if they had worked together seriously, he said it was mainly during the Villa era. After performing on stage, other comedy troupes like Ajarn Ped (Ped Chanyim) would start, followed by P’ Der Dok Sadao’s troupe. So, we had chances to meet and perform together.

I must say P’ Sang was an exceptional figure, a leading comedian, a master teacher. He started comedy with P’ Ekpojan Wongnak’s troupe and partnered with Ajarn Der Dok Sadao, who founded P’ Ekpojan Wongnak’s troupe.

I want to offer my support to P’ Sang Dok Sadao’s family. We all must carry on—birth, aging, sickness, and death are natural. It happens at different times for everyone. Whether sooner or later, that’s life. I send my encouragement to P’ Ged, P’ Sang’s wife, and his whole family."

Meanwhile, Teng Terdterd also came to attend the prayer ceremony and said, "It’s natural to part ways eventually. I’m saddened because we were colleagues. Asked how long we were close, it’s countless years, very long. We last met recently at Danny Sripinyo’s funeral, and we talked about whether Sang had recovered. He looked strong and was helping to carry chairs. Sang said he still wasn’t fully recovered, but we saw him getting stronger. Yet, it happened so quickly.

Just now, I lit incense and told Sang to tell Yommarat to ease up a bit—the comedy world is full enough, so it’s time to move on to other realms.

I want to encourage the family. Those of us still here must keep going, and we never abandon each other. We look after one another. May Sang travel to a peaceful next existence."
