A phenomenon broke out in Sweden when the band Pong Lang Sa On the legendary contemporary Isan cultural music group featuring Eed Sompong Kunapratom, Lulu Duangrudee Boonbumrung, and Lala Kwannapha Ruangsri began a one-month international tour, starting in Stockholm, Sweden.
Lala posted a clip with the message, "I am both extremely happy and deeply sorry that we had to pause the performance. Pong Lang Sa On was prohibited from continuing due to overcrowding—the Stockholm venue was overwhelmed! Authorities couldn't control the crowd or situation, so the show had to be stopped temporarily to restore order. Only after that could Lala and Lulu take the stage."
"I deeply appreciate the Thai people in Stockholm who traveled for hours by car and by plane to see us Pong Lang Sa On. Please support Lala and Lulu as they take the stage."
In the clip, Lala expressed gratitude to all the Swedish attendees for coming to see Pong Lang Sa On. She was moved by their kindness despite the long journey. However, Lala and Lulu had not yet performed because the crowd was so large it spilled beyond control, leading authorities to clear the area and temporarily halt the show.
The clip also showed the organizers and Eed, Lulu, and Lala discussing solutions, such as having another band perform first, then Lala and Lulu afterward, or postponing their show to the next day.
Eventually, Lala and Lulu performed, and the fans at the event thoroughly enjoyed the show.
Eed Pong Lang Sa On also posted a message about the unforgettable event, stating
"Last night in Stockholm, Sweden was another night I will never forget.
I was happy and deeply moved to see thousands of Thai people gather together, witnessing both Thai and foreign attendees in traditional Thai dress joining in the fun with our Isan music and culture abroad.
At the same time, I felt sorry and sympathetic for many who traveled hundreds of kilometers but couldn't enter due to the unexpectedly large crowd. Swedish authorities had to step in and halt the performance for everyone's safety.
Thanks to the organizers, staff, officials, and fans who gave us their support. The image of Thai people warmly gathering abroad is a powerful and meaningful sight for me.
I send my encouragement to all Thai people living and working overseas—wishing you success, happiness, and to take good care of yourselves. Let's enjoy the night again soon."
