After Poo Mantana Himathongkham said she would change her behavior to a new version of herself—no longer posting insults or references about anyone on social media—fearing the number of legal cases might rise to 40-50, before reporters asked Boom Panadda Wongpudi who previously had issues with Poo, during the “Food Universe” event at the promotional area of G Central Pinklao.
At that event, Boom Panadda clapped her hands and said, “Thank you. I’m very glad because to this day I’m still confused about what I was being insulted for. That’s good because I believe social media posts are governed by law, criminal law, and especially serious defamation cases. If there are multiple counts, it becomes harder for the court to forgive, especially seeing repetitive behavior with no remorse. I think stopping, watching quietly, and fighting existing cases is the best approach. In any case, I send my support to all parties.”
Boom said she probably listens to her lawyer because in different cases she has to understand the legal terms first. For example, defamation lasts two years, but if you post insults again, that’s another two years. It accumulates over time; it’s not just a simple two-year period. If you post 40 times, it multiplies. So stopping is definitely good.
She offered encouragement, saying that she herself doesn’t want to sue anyone because the process is exhausting. Instead, she prefers to fight for children affected by abuse, which has been a long battle for her.”
But after Boom Panadda gave her interview, recently Poo Mantana posted a fierce comeback, saying, “The reason I stopped responding to my adversary is because I’m tired, Boom. And the lies and references you made about me in shows or the media—that’s not over between us. I’m just tired right now, so I’m delaying filing charges against you!!! If you don’t know the truth, don’t keep talking. And stop referring to me, Boom!!!”
