Without making fans wait too long, the band Better Weather—consisting of Dew, Fung, and Jack, artists under the SpicyDisc label—has continuously released new singles. Their latest is the feel-good love song "Jackpot," expressing the lucky feeling of having someone by your side. It suggests that you don’t need a big prize; just having her every day feels like hitting the jackpot. The inspiration for this single came from Fung, who wrote it based on bassist Jack’s romantic relationship, capturing both sweet and playful moments. Fung co-wrote the song with Golf Superbaker, exploring a side of love they hadn’t shared before. Combined with Dew’s soft vocals in a comfortable pop style and a prominent bass line with a catchy rhythm, the song invites listeners to sway along. The music video was filmed in Chiang Mai at a party setting, creating tension around the evolving relationship. Notably, this is the first time Jack stars as the lead in a music video, marking his full feature both musically and visually. "Jackpot" perfectly balances romance and playfulness in Better Weather’s signature style. The song is now available on all streaming platforms, and the music video can be viewed on YouTube at SPICYDISC.
Jack, the bassist and the subject of the song, shared his feelings about the single: "Now it’s finally my turn with this song. Previously, Fung had his song, and Dew’s was 'OK DEAL!' I’m really happy because Fung wrote such a sweet song inspired by my relationship with my partner. I didn’t expect to appear so much in the music video; it was an exciting first experience. Since this is my song musically, the bass line emphasizes a more prominent groove to create a fun, danceable vibe. It suits everyone—whether you’re in love or not, with friends or anyone who makes you feel like you’ve hit the jackpot. I hope everyone listens to this song and feels happy and smiles."
Fung (guitarist) and Dew (lead vocalist) added, "This song really fits all kinds of relationships—between lovers, family, or anyone. It’s about feeling something more valuable than a prize or gift; it’s like hitting a jackpot with that feeling. For those who remember our songs like 'Never Not Loving You' or the LANNA POP CLUB version of 'Wanting to See You in a Bad Light,' we think you’ll enjoy this one too because it has a fun, flirtatious vibe. We hadn’t written a love song in a while, so we feel this is Better Weather’s love song that everyone will like. We filmed the MV and cover art by taking the whole crew to Chiang Mai. The director cast a real couple to act in the video to capture authentic emotions. The atmosphere on set was very fun. It was also Jack’s first time acting in a music video, which was quite special. Please look forward to this new song and the two others we released earlier as part of this project featuring the three of us. We hope you enjoy them!"
This single is another special and noteworthy release from Better Weather that fans should not miss. It is available on streaming platforms, and the music video can be watched on YouTube at SPICYDISC.
