It became a talk-of-the-town issue that shook the ghost storytelling community when "Kess" a new ghost storyteller and real estate entrepreneur, came on the "Hon Krasae" show to reveal shocking behavior of "Thongmai The Shock" a famous ghost storyteller, following a drama involving overlapping relationships and threats to release private photos, which led to Thongmai's immediate suspension from a popular show.
The drama summary from the "Hon Krasae" show is as follows:
- Kess is a ghost storyteller who has been in the storytelling scene for just over a year. In her personal life, she runs a business related to second-hand houses and real estate.
- Thongmai is also a ghost storyteller and has been in the storytelling scene one year longer than Kess.
- Kess said she met Thongmai because he was a storyteller and she was a fan. Then, when she entered the storytelling circle, she sent a junior to warn Thongmai to be cautious of people in the storytelling community who might scam him, as she had been scammed before. Thongmai then called back to discuss and exchange information.
- Kess revealed that Thongmai appreciated her help. They later met in person at a movie screening by The Ghost. During the event, Thongmai asked what perfume Kess wore, which she did not expect as a pick-up attempt, but he gave her a bottle of perfume.
- Thongmai then sent a message confessing his love to Kess, and they became a couple because he said he had broken up with another woman, who stayed with him for benefit, while Kess was with him without expecting anything in return. He said she would not need to be supported financially because she could earn on her own.
- Whenever Thongmai tried to contact Kess to woo her, she would scold him each time because she had a boyfriend. Eventually, Thongmai sent her Buddhist teachings, after which Kess stopped scolding him.
- Thongmai then pursued Kess fully, but another woman of Thongmai's caused a scene at an event, leading Thongmai to end things with that woman and start a relationship with Kess.
- Early in their relationship, Thongmai brought Kess to temples and meditation, which impressed her. However, he began to dislike male storytellers getting close to Kess, even though she had many male friends. Initially, he said he was okay with it but later forbade them from approaching or taking photos of just the two of them, which led to escalating problems.
- During this period, no other women were involved; Thongmai focused on Kess. They spent time at each other's homes. When discussing children, Thongmai admitted he had one child with his wife in another province, whom he had separated from, but Kess did not know this before. Thongmai also said not to worry because his wife had multiple lovers. They lived separate lives but were still legally married. Kess was shocked about possible future legal issues if the wife sued. Thongmai said he was in the process of divorce and that his wife had created substantial debts, forcing him to leave. They had been separated for 4-5 years, and he had not returned.
- Kess then wanted to break up, but Thongmai said not to worry because the other party agreed to the divorce and they were working on the paperwork. He did not want to break up with Kess.
- Kess said the issue escalated because Thongmai claimed he had cleared everything up and asked if she had done so too. She said she had, as she had divorced her husband. Thongmai then proposed and talked about their wedding, the ring, and said if they married, they would invite fellow storytellers for a meal and announce it as their wedding day. Kess was impressed and did not object. Thongmai reaffirmed that everything was cleared, just waiting for divorce papers.
- Kess became pregnant with Thongmai but suffered a miscarriage due to hemorrhaging, which Thongmai denied. Kess said she did not bring this up; it was Thongmai who mentioned it.
- The news broke because Kess wanted to break up with Thongmai, but he refused. She wanted to end things because Thongmai's wife, who was supposedly waiting for divorce paperwork, returned and harassed her on Facebook comments. Kess ended the relationship, but Thongmai would not agree. While Kess moved on, Thongmai called to curse and became increasingly aggressive. He warned her not to post about others courting her, threatening to post a single photo to end it all. He posted a photo of them together, one of Kess sleeping, and a secret photo taken while she was asleep. Thongmai sent these photos privately.
- Thongmai's wife warned Kess to be careful about photos and videos, as she had been a victim before.
- Host Noom Kanchai summarized that Thongmai had three partners: his legal wife with whom he has a child, a woman Kess had met, and Kess herself. Kess said Thongmai's wife claimed he had ten lovers.
- Kess also said Thongmai's wife told her that Thongmai had unusual preferences, enjoying sexual activity with people watching.
- When asked if she experienced this, Kess said they talked about it and Thongmai asked if she would be present, saying it would be safe. Kess responded that such behavior was unacceptable.
- Kess said everything she shared was the truth.
- Kess added that Thongmai claimed he could do fortune-telling and have sex simultaneously because fortune-telling does not require concentration. She refused to do this.
- Kess said she spoke out publicly because she wanted to be in the open, after Thongmai threatened he could shoot a gun near her ear. She revealed that she told the first wife about the second wife, which sparked a sort of war, as he kept secrets from each.
- Kess wants to end the relationship because Thongmai is bad, having many wives and keeping them all. When asked if this was jealousy, she said she was no longer jealous.
Then Thongmai called into the program and shared his perspective:
- They agreed that Kess first contacted him to warn about a storyteller. Their relationship progressed, and he admitted he was the one who pursued her.
- But they did not live as husband and wife because Kess had a husband, who she said she had separated from but still lived with. Jo is Kess's husband. This relationship was risky from the start, but he believed in it and continued to pursue Kess.
- Thongmai said Kess told him her husband was useless, dependent, and liked people who worked hard like him. After that, they agreed to continue their relationship, believing they could fill each other's gaps.
- Thongmai confirmed he had cleared things up when his wife posted about their breakup, but Kess had not cleared things up. He said she never had any proof that her husband had left the house.
- Regarding photos, Thongmai said Kess never allowed him to take direct photos, so he took photos when she was asleep and showed them to her. He said this was normal for couples.
- Thongmai said he and his wife did not truly separate until he met Kess, who was the only one who made him decide to be together properly. He told his wife to end things because he wanted to do the right thing, but Kess's actions have destroyed his life.
- Thongmai insisted that the photos he sent to Kess did not contain any threatening messages.
- When asked if Thongmai's words implied that the woman was seeking revenge, he confirmed this but said he did not know what she was angry about.
- Thongmai denied any relationship with a woman named Luk Duang, saying she mostly lives abroad.
- Regarding the claim that he had ten lovers, Thongmai asked if Kess had asked his wife what that meant or if it was just gossip between the two of them used to attack him.
- When asked about Kess's claim that Thongmai could do fortune-telling and have sex simultaneously, Thongmai said, "She was the one who initiated it." He added that some people have private preferences he does not discuss and that such matters should not be public. Kess responded, "Wasn't this warned by your wife?" Thongmai said, "Kess, you also told her what you liked." Kess said, "I never liked anything like that, Thongmai." Thongmai replied, "Oh really? What about the trip to Pranburi?"
- Thongmai said he wants to part ways and not interfere with each other. He asked to be allowed to work and provide for his mother and to restore his reputation, saying what Kess did caused damage motivated by dissatisfaction between the two, and she is not 100% innocent either.
Then Jo, claiming to be Kess's husband, sent a message to the program: "I am Jo. I want to make a brief statement. I won't say much because it would hurt my children and myself. I just want to say these two are equally flawed. Despite everything, we have reached this point. Please inform through P'Noom that from now on, Kess and I have no ties. She must face the consequences of her actions alone. Please, team, as once this program ends, my chance is gone. I am Kess's husband. That's all I have to say. I won't say more because it would hurt feelings."
