One veteran actor who has faced many life challenges is Pond Rungrat Khonkwan. Most recently, on 31 May 2026 GMT+7, he attended a major merit-making event at Phailom Temple in Nakhon Pathom province and spoke to reporters, saying,
“Work is steadily coming in now, including hosting and acting jobs, as well as booth sales. Things are much better. I have to keep fighting, adapt, smile, and stay calm. Since I’ve faced many storms, I had to focus on what to do first, especially regarding my mother’s care. I thought about how best to manage her situation because if I didn’t, I couldn’t do anything else. I spend all my time with her, so I decided to take her to an elderly rehabilitation center. After she went there, I had time to think about my next steps and work to earn money. Once my mindset improved and I was in a better mood, good things came naturally. Elders gave me opportunities, and younger reporters checked in to ask how I was doing. I’m grateful to the media. My mother understands the situation now. We communicated well. I visit her every day. I’m not abandoning her; I’m taking her for treatment. Do I worry about people thinking otherwise? Yes, sometimes my mother wonders if I’ve left her behind. But since I visit every day, she knows I haven’t. She receives physical therapy from doctors and specialists, which has improved her condition. When I have money, I take her out for meals and drop her off. Once she recovers, I will bring her back home.”
“I don’t know why exactly, but I wonder if it’s related to the surgery. Since I had cosmetic surgery, my appearance and aura have changed. Acting offers started coming in, both for dramas and hosting, rapidly. Even matters concerning my mother improved, which I believe is connected to the surgery. I can say this cosmetic surgery truly changed my life—in my personal life, work, family, finances, and mother’s care. Everything has gotten better.”
