Following the epic love triangle drama involving two famous ghost storytellers, “Khun Kets” and “Thongmai” who clashed intensely on the live program "Hon Krasae," sparking widespread public attention, the senior figure in the ghost storytelling scene, “Pong Kapon Thongplub”, the executive producer of The Shock, recently spoke to Thairath Entertainment about the heated issue, admitting he was shocked and did not expect the situation to escalate this much.
Pong said that, as a mature person, since this concerns two individuals who once loved each other and then did not, he personally prefers not to interfere in others' private matters. He believes such issues should be discussed and resolved privately between the two people involved. However, he did not expect the matter to grow so big that it had to be aired on P'Noom's show.
He added that Kets is someone he knows, a storyteller, and recently started co-hosting The Shock in a production role for about one or two months. She speaks well, tells stories skillfully, and hosts effectively, so they invited her to join the program. He knew both of them were dating; Kets had a previous boyfriend whom she broke up with, and Thongmai also had a past relationship which ended. Then the two started dating for a short time.
He did not expect problems to arise suddenly but planned to listen to both sides when time allowed, since they were working. He did not want to take sides prematurely and only heard both perspectives the day before going on Hon Krasae. He was unsure how to judge because he only knew the situation from one viewpoint.
When asked if he knew beforehand that Khun Joe (Kets' husband) would send messages to the show looking for Kets, Pong Kapon said he truly did not know. He had met Kets’ ex-boyfriend a long time ago; the man had helped with driving and they knew the couple had broken up, which is normal when people stop loving each other. But he did not expect it to happen so quickly. P'Noom showed him chat messages Thongmai sent, which showed normal affection and some recent sulking a few days ago, and then the issue exploded widely.
Regarding Thongmai, she was given a break from work. Yesterday the issue appeared on social media initially as initials, but when her name was revealed and because she is part of their team, they posted that she would take a break for now to let the situation calm down, as stated on their official page. They want her to manage the matter properly before proceeding further.
He believes everyone involved is under stress, and they cannot take sides. They must remain neutral and listen to both perspectives. He does not dare to judge but trusts that viewers will have their own conclusions.
When asked if Pong Kapon’s father has ever been approached by female fans since gaining fame, Pong said, “No way, just look at my face (laughs). We have our own boundaries that are appropriate; otherwise, it would look bad, and we conduct ourselves properly.” He described himself as jovial and friendly, and the younger people do not think of him romantically—they see him as an elder, just calling him uncle or father, so he doesn't take it personally. However, he admitted that in his youth, he did enjoy himself more freely.
