The countdown begins for the 34th anniversary memorial of the late country music queen. “Phumphuang Duangchan” or “Mae Phueng Phumphuang Duangchan.” The event will be held on 13 June at Wat Thap Kradan in Suphanburi province, organized annually by the Duangchan family.
This year’s event features a full production of lights, sound, and concerts by both new and veteran country artists, who will entertain Mae Phueng’s fans throughout nine days and nights from 11 to 19 June.
Beyond the spectacular stage and activities, this year’s special highlight is a commemorative T-shirt featuring Phumphuang’s face printed from her “national ID card photo,” accompanied by her authentic signature. This photo is considered rare and unique, regarded by many as the only one of its kind in the world, making this year’s souvenir shirt highly sought after by fans.
Additionally, the Duangchan family and the Phusa Pha Lai team, who recently changed Mae Phueng’s outfit, responded to fans’ requests for lucky numbers by drawing auspicious numbers from a jar placed in front of the first statue at the riverside pavilion of Wat Thap Kradan, Suphanburi. This caused quite a stir since the numbers exactly matched the 34th anniversary of Mae Phueng’s memorial, exciting fans and lottery enthusiasts alike.
“Ong Salakjit” and the Duangchan family advised fans to gamble responsibly and view it as a personal belief and a fun part of the event. They emphasized, “If there is a karmic connection, may you be lucky; if the numbers don’t hit, please don’t blame anyone.”
