She went live to share a warning for parents in the digital age after her youngest son, Puma, was targeted by a scammer posing as a game admin in the popular game Roblox, resulting in his account being hacked and purchases made within the game through an Apple ID linked to his mother's credit card, causing a loss of more than 15,000 baht.
Puma explained that he had talked with someone claiming to be an admin of the game Blox Fruits before being tricked and having his account accessed shortly after. Ploy revealed that the bank detected suspicious transactions and quickly blocked the credit card, preventing further damage. She is now coordinating with Apple, Roblox, and the bank to investigate the incident.
The mother admitted that she made a mistake by sharing the iPad with her son and linking her credit card to the device. She urged other parents to strictly set security and Parental Controls, and to teach their children not to talk to strangers online, as this could lead to scams or financial loss.
After the incident, Ploy said she has banned her children from playing Roblox indefinitely and emphasized that this was an expensive lesson she wants to share as a cautionary tale for all families to be more careful.
