Right now, it's truly the golden year for the hot young actor Krating Khunnarong Prate Rat, as his acting projects are airing one after another, with fans seeing him frequently on screen.
Recently, Krating attended the LONARK GRAND OPENING NEW PRESENTER event today (6 Jun 2026) at The Mall Lifestore Bangkae. He updated on his life after becoming a freelance actor and clarified rumors about his rumored romance with senior actress Yogurt Natthachach, as well as his current relationship status that will excite fans.
Many people see Krating’s life as perfect now, both in work and personal matters?
“Good. Work is good. This year, I’ve been more settled, have clear goals, and am following through on them. Everything is moving in a positive direction.”
And how about your love life?
“Right now, I’m not pursuing anything. I’m happy with work, friends, and the people around me. That’s enough.”
Can those who root for you continue to do so?
“Rooting for whom? Oh… P’Yogurt (Natthachach), right? (laughs) Honestly, right now we’re just like siblings. We’ve had the chance to work together, do a series together. (When working closely, is there a chance for sparks?) I don’t know about that, I can’t predict the future. But I’m happy every time we meet. She’s still a lovely senior to me.”
Don’t you feel shy when acting together?
“At the workshop, I was still shy. Being close makes me a bit nervous, especially at the start. (Have you ever thought about dating this senior actress?) Not yet. I’m happy as things are now. It’s okay at the moment, but I don’t know what the future holds. My current status is single.”
Many hope because your chemistry is so good?
“I think it depends on both people. When the time comes, things might progress, but I don’t know how it will be. (What about your type, like P’Yogurt?) She’s beautiful and talented, but right now I’m happy with how things are. I want to focus on work first. I want my acting career to grow. Love will be a bonus—good if it happens, okay if it doesn’t.”
If you have a girlfriend, will you tell us?
“Let me think about that first (laughs). But right now, my top priority is work. I’m 100% happy with work, sports, and my personal life.”
How is the feedback for the drama “Love Betrayal”?
“I feel the response has been very good, beyond expectations. Filming was very tough for both actors and crew, but once the show aired, the exhaustion disappeared. I think my character is quite complex because the concept is to show different perspectives on love and their resolutions, emphasizing human nature. Hearing feedback feels great. It’s like a new chapter for Thai dramas and series—something fresh for us actors and a new test for the series.”
At first, many thought Great Warintorn was the hero with a green flag, but he turned out to be a black-flag character?
“Ah… definitely a black flag (laughs). I think his role was very challenging, and I was impressed with Great. When we acted together, I’d never seen him play this way before. Usually, he’s known for warm roles, but this one really challenged his acting skills, and he did very well.”
The backlash shifted from me to Great then?
“It’s switched around. I think viewers followed the story well. It’s fun with fans supporting Team Pun, Team Pai, and Team Win.”
But people are happy you finally got what you wanted?
“(laughs) Yes, many ask me if the ending will be happy or not, since I usually get roles with unhappy endings. But this time, I’m happy, while Great’s character isn’t.”},{
And how is the buzz for “Sodsroi Mala”? It’s just as good?
“The buzz is very good. People are talking about both characters because the shows aired back-to-back. Fans are deciding whether to support Team Win or Than Chai Ramdee, and they worry about being disappointed by both. I’m confused why they think I’ll be disappointed (laughs). (Does your character sacrifice something?) I can’t say—stay tuned.”
How was working on “Sodsroi Mala”?
“At first, I thought a lot about whether to accept because I rarely do period dramas. But when I saw P’San (Srikaewlor) directing and discussed my character, I wanted to try. I think it was the right decision to open my mind to period drama.”
Your schedule was packed in the first half of the year. What about the second half?
“In the second half, I have a movie and also a Channel 3 series called ‘Game Gong Game’ airing mid-June.”},{
Would you say this is your golden year?
“Probably, yes (laughs). But honestly, I don’t have that many jobs. It’s just that I filmed several projects earlier, and their airing schedules coincided, so it looks like I have many works, but I’m actually going at a normal pace.”
Asked if as a freelance actor, do you consider yourself successful? I think not yet. I just started freelancing and still want to try many things, take on diverse and more challenging roles in my acting career.”
