Ploy, Peters Ex-Wife, Affirms Her Child Is Not Lying After Roblox Controversy Plans to Sue for Defamation

Previously, Ploy Ploypan or Ploy Pachara Taweerat the ex-wife of Peter Corp Dyrendal, took her youngest son live on social media to warn digital-age parents after her son, Puma, was scammed by a fraudster posing as a game admin in the popular game Roblox. The scam led to his account being hacked and used to purchase in-game items via an Apple ID linked to his mother's credit card, causing a loss of over 15,000 baht.

Her son explained he had chatted with someone claiming to be an admin of the game Blox Fruits before being tricked and having his account accessed. Ploy said the bank detected unusual transactions and quickly blocked the credit card, limiting the damage. She is coordinating with Apple, Roblox, and the bank to investigate.

Ploy admitted she made a mistake by sharing an iPad with her son and linking her credit card on the device. She urged parents to enforce strict security settings and parental controls, and to teach children not to talk to strangers online, as this can lead to scams or financial loss.

Following the incident, Ploy stated she has banned her children from playing Roblox indefinitely and emphasized that this costly lesson should serve as a warning for all families to be more cautious.

After sharing this cautionary tale, Ploy faced a backlash with many criticizing her for blaming the game and others rather than herself or her child. Many netizens pointed out that Apple's system is very secure, requiring face or fingerprint scans or passcodes for purchases, suggesting the issue might have been user error or the child secretly making purchases and then hiding it from the mother.

Amid intense social media criticism, Ploy posted that her son is not lying and that Apple is currently reviewing a refund. She also said she is gathering all evidence—including messages, comments, and shares that have damaged her and her family's reputation—to pursue legal action.

“Apple has received the case and is reviewing a refund. I will not provide further updates or details on this incident. I want to clarify that I never intended to attack Roblox or claim it is a bad game, as many children play it properly under parental supervision and enjoy it safely.

My original intention was to warn other parents with children of similar ages to be more cautious about online use, in-game purchases, security settings, and monitoring their children's behavior.

After what happened, I no longer want to expose myself and my family to judgment or verbal attacks, because my good intentions to warn others have instead brought many damaging accusations and comments against my family.

After reviewing all information, I found that my son's story is not fabricated; many details align with actual irregularities including transaction history, login alerts, and Apple's findings.

Such incidents may not always involve direct hacking but can relate to deception, manipulation, or account access in ways children don’t fully understand, which parents need to be more aware of.

I have collected all evidence of messages, comments, or shares that harm my child and family and will proceed according to legal steps.

I do not wish to accept apologies afterward, whether messages, flower baskets, or claims of ignorance, because the damage has already occurred. Thank you to those who listen reasonably and to everyone who has shown support.”
