It became a sensation among lottery enthusiasts when the young artist Toffee Sambathasib along with the female comedian Somcheng Samcha traveled to participate in a ritual honoring Grandfather Srisuttho in Kalasin Province before drawing lucky numbers for gambling.
On Instagram @toffy_sambahthasib, a clip was posted showing the atmosphere of the ritual honoring Grandfather Srisuttho, including the moment of drawing lucky numbers, with the caption: “Ritual honoring Grandfather Srisuttho and Grandmother Sripathumma at Bung Hai, Wat Pa Phutthamongkhon (Luang Pu Nu In), Kalasin Province.”
In this clip, Somcheng Samcha draws numbers from a container, first picking the number 5, which is her personal number. Then Toffee tries drawing a number and gets 4. Somcheng draws again and gets 9, prompting her to say, “How about that!” Toffee jokes that she can't escape her own number, and Somcheng tells the attendees that she also drew 59 the previous day.
