It can be called a proud moment in life for Skye Korkphai Sharpell, the son of the talented actress and model, Metinee Korkphai. He dedicated himself to intense training and successfully passed the selection to become a member of Thailand's national swimming team to compete in the prestigious 2026 Asian Games.
On Instagram @metinee, she posted pictures of young Skye, along with the official list of Thai national athletes selected to participate in the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The list includes many male and female swimmers, including Skye.
She captioned the post: “It's official. It has been announced, and Skye will be representing Thailand at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya 2026. My heart is so full right now. Watching your child work so hard for something and then seeing that hard work pay off is a feeling that's impossible to describe. Best birthday gift ever. So proud of you, @skyesharpss Go make Thailand proud.”
This translates to: “It's official. It has been announced that Skye will represent Thailand at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya in 2026. My heart is truly full of happiness now. Seeing my child devote so much effort towards a goal and then witnessing that effort succeed is a feeling hard to put into words. This is the best birthday gift ever. I am very proud of you, @skyesharpss. Go make Thailand proud.”
