Recently, Billy Phattharachon called for an urgent meeting at his birthday concert "BILLY MISSING ACES Billy Concert" to address the payment embezzlement allegations from his co-star and spoke to the press.
Asked about the controversy where his co-star filed a complaint over unpaid share of earnings,
“As everyone has seen in the news and documents, the conditions for accepting the job included a debt payment from the previous agency stating we should receive 50,000 baht. I followed up with the client as instructed by the old agency, which clearly stated that amount. Everyone has seen this and I posted it on social media. The client has since paid me. So, from my side, this matter is settled. We've informed the old agency twice, and they acknowledged it. I consider my part finished. Anyone unclear can review the details. I've cleared everything and have all evidence for everyone to see.”
Before following up on the overdue payment with the client, did you have a chance to talk with Babe?
“The last time we spoke, I invited him to this concert on May 15th, saying ‘Hey, there’s my birthday concert coming up.’ He hasn’t read that message yet. The last topic we discussed was just that. We didn’t talk about this payment issue then.”
After Babe filed the complaint about unpaid earnings, have you been in contact?
“There were only a few days, and I have received no contact. All evidence is available to show no communication came from him. I feel disappointed, secretly hurt, wondering why we aren’t talking or contacting each other. But this is following the proper steps I outlined.”
Do you plan to reach out to Babe to discuss this issue?
“Yes, I do plan to contact him. This matter is now at the contractual stage, and I have set aside the money for him. I want him to contact me directly or the accounting department. If he feels uncomfortable contacting me, he can reach out to the company’s accounting team. We don’t want this issue to escalate. The funds are prepared for him. I will also follow up with the old agency because the contract states I must receive this amount.”
What is the amount still in dispute and unpaid?
“It’s 50,000 baht as specified by the old agency that I should receive for peace of mind. The money I received is settled. Even if the contract says to send it to accounting, I’m ready to provide it. I will follow up with the old agency for the rest because I don’t want this small matter to cause lingering problems or hard feelings.”
How do you feel now? Do you want to resolve or clear things up?
“No one wants this kind of issue to happen. When everyone is ready, we can talk and I am ready to support. I’m waiting for you to contact me. There’s no problem—I have prepared this money for you. It is company money and all deductions follow tax laws and regulations.”
Is it not possible to simply talk or transfer money through the bank as usual?
“Oh, I think he probably knows now what I said. I want him to contact me back, or I can reach out. Since this happened, I hope he contacts me.”
