The DSI launched a lightning operation raiding the home of a leading actor abbreviated as"F."linked to a Forex network. The focus immediately turned to "Film Rattapoom," who said he is not involved and suspects someone is trying to frame him again. He added, "I will go and explain soon."
The Minister of Justiceis preparing to lead a press briefing on 19 Jun 2024 GMT+7, set to unveil a chart linking prominent politicians, entertainment figures, and private companies involved in the Forex investment network. The politicians include opposition members, and the celebrities are well-known in society.
However,recent reports indicate that luxury cars, cash, electronics, documents, and other assets were seized by DSI officers from one of the 24 target residences in the "Shutdown the Laundering" operation.
This operation aims to eliminate illegal foreign currency investment and trading networks without authorization. Yesterday, the DSI raided one of the targets, reported to bethe home of an actorwith the initial"F."Investigations found this residence is connected to the case.
Officials seized assets and luxury cars from the actor's home. This operation is an extension of efforts to suppress new pyramid schemes with behavior similar to the past Forex-3D case.
The actor abbreviated as F.has been linked on social mediato possibly being Film Rattapoom. Regarding this, Film Rattapoom told Thairath Entertainment: "As usual, I have nothing to do with it—neither payments nor Forex. I’ve never been involved. But perhaps someone is trying to frame me again, as before. I will go and clarify the facts soon."
