Tintin Opens Up After DNA Test Results: Ready to Be a Father, Carries Baby Care Guide Got Jakrapun Reveals Facing Much Criticism

Opening up for the first time Tintin New Country After weathering a major storm, he shares his feelings following the DNA test results, accompanied by his close friend Neo Ban Dum Revealing their close bond—from initial dislike to true friendship present through every moment, recalling a relationship as close as uncle and nephew with Got Jakrapun The country music prince spoke on the "Kui Zab Show" program on One31 channel, hosted by DJs Putt Puttichai and Tanya Thanyares.

This pair has a huge fanbase, with many followers gathering for their live streams. First, please update us: did you get the DNA test results yesterday?

Tintin: “The test matched 99 percent, as I shared in my story and it was spread through various channels. I feel relieved. Before, I was anxious about the results, but since it came earlier than expected, I can plan my life more easily and know which direction to take.”

How will you plan your life moving forward?

Tintin: “We will have to discuss it with both sides, including my parents. But I feel reassured that many people are ready to support me, including all the fans who still care and support me. I want to sincerely thank everyone.”

What is your personal perspective?

Tintin: “Honestly, I already suspected the result would be like this. I think a lot of preparation is needed. I've kept the mother updated, and she is ready to support. All the friends, including Uncle Got, are always willing to support.”

What was Uncle Got's reaction to the results?

Tintin: “Uncle Got congratulated me, and all my friends expressed their congratulations. It's a good thing.”

Should we start calling you Dad Tintin?

Tintin: “(laughs) I'm a bit shy. I thank everyone so much. During the drama, I received a lot of encouragement and many lessons. It has been a life lesson. Thank you to everyone who sent their support, including fans who never abandoned me.”

How about Neo?

Neo: “I'm officially an uncle now (laughs).”

Are you preparing to buy gifts to welcome your niece or nephew?

Neo: “Yes, I'm thinking about what shirt to get, where to take them to play sports, what to do. Usually, they are a bit shy, and so am I—I'm a bit shy and fidgety (laughs).”

Tintin prepared very thoroughly. Before the show, we saw you reading something?

Tintin: “(laughs) Wait a moment.”

A baby care guide for ages 0-1?

Tintin: “(blushes) I usually have several books, but P'Putt picked this one (laughs).”

Did you buy this yourself or did someone give it to you?

Tintin: “Actually, a bandmate, Guitar, bought it from a bookstore and gave it to me. It's cute.”

Are you reading it to prepare yourself?

Tintin: “I've read a little bit. Lately, I relieve stress by reading books, singing, and playing music in my style.”

Do you have other books for stress relief?

Tintin: “I currently have a collection of over 700 books. My dream is to create a library. I love reading everything—history, general knowledge, psychology. I prefer collecting physical books. I once switched to e-books, collecting about 200, but it felt like something was missing. You can't touch them, so I returned to physical books.”

Uncle shed tears while his friend was stressed?

Neo: “In that moment, I had never seen him like that in all the time we've been together. He is usually very positive. Seeing him cry was hard to accept. He is always upbeat, joking, and saying everything will be fine. When the first tear fell, I started to feel emotional. By the second tear, I felt tightness, and by the third, I turned and started crying myself.”

Tintin: “Love you.”

Neo was named MVP for friendship love?

Neo: “Love, yes. I love him a lot, but he doesn’t love me as much (laughs).”

Tintin: “Love, just teasing as usual.”

Neo: “I love those who genuinely care for me. Like Ban Dum, who is a fellow technician. We see friends as family who support each other. We grow, work, and live aiming to save money. We believe you don't have to wait to be older to have a house or car—you can have them now if you work hard. We’ve lived together a lot, so I love him dearly.”

From loving your friend deeply, you’ve become a popular pairing. Will we see any work together?

Tintin: “Gladly. Interested parties can contact us (laughs).”

Would you consider BL (Boys' Love) projects?

Tintin: “I’m already in a boy love relationship—we’re just friends.”

Neo: “(laughs) We like to find free time to exercise, sauna, play music, and run together.”

When your friend faced drama, you were affected too?

Neo: “Yes, I was affected too, regarding the unclear relationship status after six months. I felt I had explained enough and didn’t want to talk more. I decided to move on. Some people insulted me, saying with my looks, I’m not handsome, or called me fake in clips. I’m okay with that. I understand there are always those who love and those who hate.”

Tintin: “Neo is sensitive and overthinks, so I always tell him not to worry too much.”

Neo: “I care a lot, sometimes feeling down. I didn’t cry but wondered why people insulted me. Still, I accepted it. If I’m wrong, I admit it. But some things, people focus only on parts and then insult us.”

Did the drama about unclear status make you hesitant to have long relationships?

Neo: “I feel I’ve shortened from 6 months to 3 months, and now one month is left. I’m afraid it will happen again (laughs).”

Tintin: “When Neo talks with someone, he wants to be sure before moving to boyfriend status. From living with him, I don’t mind if it takes time because people need strong confidence when choosing a life partner.”

How do you encourage your friend?

Tintin: “I tease him to make him stronger in life.”

Neo: “He’s like a vaccine; when I get hit, he immediately boosts me to be strong. Normally, I’m a light supporter behind the scenes, but when I get attacked, he pumps me up.”

Tintin: “If he’s wrong, he deserves to be scolded. If wrong, accept and adjust—that’s all. He cries often.”

Neo: “Hey, you don’t have to tell everything (laughs).”

Another person giving Tintin encouragement is Uncle Got. How does he support?

Tintin: “He has always been there—not just for this issue but for every problem. He is a respected and admired adult who guides me in choosing life’s path. He teaches and comforts me. I can always call him and get wise advice.”

How did your close relationship begin?

Tintin: “Actually, it dates back to the Country Music Idol contest about six years ago. I was a contestant as a child. Before COVID, I got to talk with Uncle Got. At first, I didn’t invite him to join the New Country project. One year after the contest, Uncle Got invited me to join.”

Did you originally plan to quit singing and do something else?

Tintin: “At that time, I was studying accounting at Mahidol University, just starting. The Country Music Idol was the last contest I told my mother I’d join, as I’d been competing since age seven. I thought I would focus on becoming an accountant. But after the contest, during a time when I wasn’t singing or going anywhere, my heart wouldn’t stop wanting to sing for everyone. I’m not good at expressing feelings verbally, so my songs express my feelings in another way.”

What made you decide to return to singing?

Tintin: “During that one year off, I felt restless and down, so I started singing at night and playing music alone. Then, Amod, Uncle Got’s manager, called to invite me to join the New Country project. I immediately agreed. It was the chance I wanted to return to singing, guided by my childhood idol. I felt this was an opportunity I wanted to seize.”

How did you become close? How does Uncle Got take care of you?

Tintin: “Oh, everything. Like family. From scheduling life, being in the label, planning meals, sleep, rehearsals, when sick, taking me to the doctor, funding music lessons. Even now, Uncle Got supports almost everything.”

Is Uncle Got strict?

Tintin: “Strict (laughs). But regarding work, he doesn’t want kids in the label to lack discipline or skip practice. He wants everyone to have dreams, share dreams, and grow together.”

What does he usually scold about?

Tintin: “Lack of discipline, not practicing, waking late, skipping morning vocal warm-ups. He doesn’t scold harshly but reminds us about discipline and daily practice. We have dreams and must combine that with discipline. Friends help each other.”

What’s his tone like when he scolds?

Tintin: “He’s not loud. He calmly asks why we didn’t practice or neglected things, gives reasons like illness, but says we must improve.”

How does Uncle Got encourage you?

Tintin: “He was one of the first I told everything to and gave advice. He asks for the truth, how things happened. I explain everything.”

When did you first tell Uncle Got?

Tintin: “Uncle Got was shocked but kept asking how I was and how I felt about the situation. We talked morning and evening.”

Has Neo met Uncle Got?

Neo: “Not yet, but we’ve talked on the phone. He taught me many things, and I accept all his advice.”

How does Uncle Got support you, Tintin?

Got: “When we learned about it after the incident, Tintin consulted me. We sought the truth to see if what was said was true and what happened. P’Mod advised going for tests. I came in regarding drugs and child abduction issues because it affects the future. That day was terrible, affecting all work.”

I must say, I’m not the label owner. I just create work for them. The kids are already with Grammy. Some think I have vested interests here—I don’t. The initial goal of the project was to have a group representing us. Should the country music prince have heirs? So we worked on this.

Why have you become so close with Tintin? Actually, I bond with all the kids in the project. During COVID, we couldn’t go anywhere and had to quarantine. The kids bonded, and so did we caretakers. After two weeks in the label, we separated. When we came back, we rehearsed, did COVID tests for safety, and continued. COVID made work difficult but brought us closer.

Tintin joined last, after many others. Some gave up because they weren’t used to country dancing. But Tintin had all the right elements. Though late, he was very determined. Others had been here for years. Tintin came later but worked hard to catch up. He’s like someone who answers slowly, delayed. We focused on him especially. His nickname is 'slot' because he’s slow to respond; he needs time to process.

In the group, when dividing singing parts, I, as a singer, want equality. Everyone chooses their parts. Tintin doesn’t choose; he lets others pick, and he sings the rest. I felt this kid has heart. I was kind to him, partly because I wanted to encourage him for the best work.

Now, whatever I do, after over 40 years in the industry, I’m not naive. Regarding what people say about me being naive, I come with truth. In 40 years, I’ve seen it all and know the original intentions.

But I solve problems like drugs and child abduction by sending offenders to jail. Music is their dream and life. After checking everything clearly, I have to speak out so Tintin’s path is clear. Tintin once said when things were very bad, before having a chance to speak, when asked what he wanted in life, the other side spoke first. Tintin wanted to speak, saying this might be his last words. Listening to that, I, as caretaker, was worried. I tried to get him to speak at least the truth from his side. It’s not hearsay—it’s from chat messages, and I have the full chats as evidence, though I reveal little.

I said from the start, this is your child, remember, definitely your child. Prepare to welcome the baby, Uncle Got. I said this from the beginning, never refused care. If told from the start about the pregnancy, it would have ended happily. But having to sit and explain that those things didn’t happen made it worse.

If I said Tintin is a good kid, people would criticize me. ‘How can your kid be good?’ I faced much criticism (laughs). I want to say all kids in the project have different personalities. I believe I treat everyone fairly. If others face this, even if they’re lively and authentic, if the evidence is correct, I protect them all, since I built them.

With this backlash, the future is uncertain. But anyway, Tintin is ready to take responsibility. He wants everything to end and focus on raising the child beautifully. Now, he just wants to arrange work, which I’m not involved in, but after the contract ends, I’ll support him so Tintin can have a beautiful career path and care for the child well.

Tintin loves Uncle Got a lot. Anything you want to say to him?

Tintin: “I love and respect Uncle Got. He loves everyone.”

Uncle Got plans to make music for Tintin and Neo and hold a meet-and-greet on the 4th. Is it sold out?

Tintin: “Not yet, tickets are still available.”

Does Neo want to be an artist?

Neo: “I said long ago that one day I’d stand beside you as an artist. I said it a long time ago.”

Is it about 80 percent likely now?

Neo: “It’s one step closer to reality. I’m happy because I said it before, and now it’s actually happening.”
