Famous Celebrities Cast Their Votes in Bangkok Governor Election, Reflecting Desire for Capitals Development

Today (28 June 2026) marks a pivotal moment for Bangkok residents as they elect a new governor and city council members. Celebrities and entertainment figures are actively participating, coming out in full force to exercise their voting rights, including such personalities as

“Mae Boom Panadda” who came with her son, Arthur, to Bodindecha 2 School. She encouraged Bangkokians to vote enthusiastically, warning against complacency or assuming the outcome without participation. Mae Boom’s ideal governor is a good, honest person who works sincerely, as she is concerned about public safety.

Meanwhile, “Anne Thongprasom” came to vote at the entrance of Panya Village, Pattanakarn 30. She stated that she made a special effort to vote, hoping Bangkok will have more parks and greenery. She wishes to see a more organized, livable city that offers better quality of life. Anne emphasized that the new governor should address flooding issues to prevent future incidents.


Famous actor “Pong Nawat” voted at the Chatuchak district, at the Susco gas station on Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road. He said he came to exercise his Bangkok citizen’s right and urged the new governor to fix the problem of tangled power lines in the city. He encouraged all Bangkok residents to vote in high numbers.

Popular young actor “Phuwin Tangsakyuen” voted at a tent beside the Mandana Village clubhouse in Khlong Sam Wa district. He revealed that his ideal governor does not have a specific personality type but must be honest and attentive in their work. The approach must suit managing a capital city effectively. He noted that the governor election affects not only registered Bangkok residents but also many others living and working in the capital, urging everyone to vote before 5:00 PM.

Meanwhile, Sek Loso came with his wife, Kant Wipakorn, to vote at Buamol School polling station in Bang Khen district. He expressed happiness about voting in this Bangkok governor election and hopes the elected official will tackle numerous urgent problems in the city. He also encouraged everyone to participate in voting.
