The announcement caused quite a buzz among fans when Thisa Warittisala Limthammasrisorn , and Anna Suangam-iam revealed they will star together in a Yuri series. Both opened up in an interview about their first time acting in a Yuri role.
A new Yuri couple?
Thisa and Anna: "We're excited. It's something new, a new opportunity for both of us. We might have met at events before, but this is our first time acting together in a series."
Anna: "I once hosted for Thisa and said I wanted to work with her. Now that we're actually working together, I'm very happy to have Thisa as my partner."
Thisa and Anna: "This series will definitely be intense. No one gives in easily. It's like a spy story adapted from a novel with lots of fierce confrontations. People might think Anna will be the strong one, but she actually plays the more playful side."
Thisa: "Maybe we can ask viewers to wait and see how it turns out."
Anna: "I'm shy. We haven't rehearsed yet, so I feel a bit embarrassed."
Thisa: "We're new to this genre and really ask for support. I feel comfortable working together."
Is it difficult since you've acted in male-female roles before?
Thisa and Anna: "We really want fans to keep an open mind about our new path. We want to bring happiness to our fans. We'll be appearing together more often and are preparing with acting classes before filming."
Are you worried people will remember you as Yuri characters?
Thisa: "I understand. I've been in the industry for a long time. This is a new role and I think people will like it. The story is already intense. I don't want to feel pressured; just let it happen naturally."
Anna: "Our country is more open now. I'm very happy to work with Thisa. I really want everyone to keep an open mind. I've already transformed from a beauty queen many times, and fans and moms all support me."
Thisa: "Everything is more open now. We all are more accepting. Many people have their preferred drama styles. I think acting is just playing a role; it shouldn't be limited to male or female only. People should be more open now. I believe in the characters."
