Recently, Plaeng Chonmthida gave an interview on pimchology, a psychology and podcast program, addressing the boundaries of being friends with an ex. When asked about what boundaries she would accept if she had a boyfriend and remained friends with an ex,
Plaeng replied, "In my view, it’s a subjective matter, meaning each couple’s perspective might differ. I believe that if we are to be friends with an ex, firstly, the past relationship must not affect the new one. Also, it depends on how comfortable we feel, and the person we’re currently with—whether boyfriend or partner—must also feel comfortable, as their feelings are important too. Having three people involved like that wouldn’t work."
She added that being friends with an ex is easier if both are single and remain friends. But once one or both begin new relationships, it becomes a different matter because clear boundaries must be set, defining what makes everyone comfortable."
