A profoundly sad event in the life of the singer and actress, Rasmee Wayrana, also known as Rasmee Esan Soul, who is well known for her role as Ple in the popular series Sathu 2, occurred when she and her family lost their uncle in an incident where an 11-year-old boy drove a pickup truck into a monk pilgrimage procession.
The incident took place on the highway at Ban Na Wiang, Na Si Nuan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Mukdahan Province. Reports confirmed that 10 monks died and many others were injured.
On the Facebook page Rasmee Wayrana, a black-and-white photo was posted showing relatives standing beside the uncle on his ordination day. The brief but heart-wrenching message read, “He has passed away. My mother and younger sister are now on their way to receive his body.”
