It turned into an extremely tough summer trip for "Ice Apisada Khruakongka" who recently took her children, "Nong Lea" and "Nong Noah" to fly for a vacation in Italy but ended up facing scorching weather due to the El Niño phenomenon. This made mother Ice hold her head in frustration because in Thailand, installing air conditioning is straightforward, but in Italy, to install AC you must get permission from the district and also from neighbors to approve the compressor installation.
Ice explained that the house in Italy does not have air conditioning. In Europe, to install AC you need permission. Right now, Europe is experiencing 40-degree heat. The El Niño phenomenon is really causing trouble.
Ice revealed that her children, Nong Lea and Nong Noah, are in Italy where it is very hot. Normally, in summer, the house up in the mountains is cool all year round. Some years, at night, they even have to turn on the heater. But now, Nong Lea complains it is very hot. As a Thai person, Ice said no matter how cold the weather is, she must use air conditioning. But the house in Italy has no AC. She recently talked with Italians and learned that in Europe, to install AC you have to get permission; you cannot just install it freely.
And if the place is in a beautiful tourist area, you must get permission from the district. Even if not in a very beautiful zone, you still have to ask neighbors around whether they agree to the installation of the air compressor.
"In summary, I didn't install air conditioning. I bought a big fan thinking I could use it to sleep, but my husband said I couldn't turn it on because it was too noisy, so I didn't use it. I tried opening the window instead, but couldn't because of insects. So, I endured and slept like that. I had to sleep through it."
