Gypsy and Gypso received an overwhelming wave of support after updating fans in a 'Yib Yoi' clip revealing that each is currently facing mental health struggles, including a return of depression and severe panic attacks.
Both opened up about being in a period of significant physical and mental weakness, needing to temporarily halt their show to undergo treatment.
"Gypsy" reveals a severe relapse of depression.
Gypsy shared about her condition while traveling to see a psychiatrist with her sister, saying she was recently diagnosed with a return of her previously experienced depression, at a concerning level.
"I was just diagnosed with a relapse of depression, at a moderate to severe level. I'm currently adjusting to medication. I had previously recovered from panic disorder, but this is the first time I am seriously treating depression. This is like a new chapter in starting to treat depression seriously."
"Gypso" shocked: waking up feeling like dying, battling hormone failure and panic.
Gypso described her long-term health problems caused by chronic stress, severely affecting her hormone system, and recently experiencing severe panic attacks during sleep.
"My physical health hasn't been good for a long time due to intense stress over the past years. The way I live and process thoughts caused a buildup that severely depleted almost all my hormones.""Recently, I started having panic attacks. One night, while sleeping deeply—not from stress or thoughts—I suddenly woke up feeling like I was dying. It just came on by itself, like a moment where I truly felt I was dying."
Gypso added that when stress affects the body's chemistry, it’s not easily controlled because the body stays in a danger mode. Besides hormonal issues, she has suffered continuous hair loss for over nine months and accumulated fatigue, prompting her to see a psychiatrist for mental health treatment.
Announcing a temporary break from the show, seeking recovery with fans' support.
The two sisters decided to pause filming the 'Yib Yoi' show for a while to avoid overexerting their body and mind during treatment.
