Koy Ratchawin Holds Back Tears Revealing a Private Struggle Known Only to Toon Bodyslam

She is a dedicated mother admired by fans for her constant devotion. "Koy Ratchawin" After marrying "Toon Bodyslam" the famous rock singer, she relocated to build a family and raise their two children, "Nong Talay" and "Nong Wela," in Phuket Province, leading many to see their family life as perfect and enviable.

Recently, on the show Mau Ban Ngan EP1, "The Life to Trade: The Burden Bearer Koy Ratchawin" by Ja Yossinee, Ja Yossinee visited Koy Ratchawin in Phuket, where they talked about Koy's life journey.

At one point, Ja Yossinee said to Koy Ratchawin, "Today you have a lovely, warm family, a loving husband, and adorable children. I believe you wouldn’t trade that for anything. But speaking as a woman who chose to be a mother—not just any mother, but one with two children who moved to a place without family or friends—there must be things you had to give up or quietly keep inside. Because you have worked all your life, is there a part of you that misses who you used to be?"

Koy immediately asked, "Why do you ask me that?" Ja Yossinee replied that motherhood is a great but sacrificial role. She believed Koy might miss her former self, especially since Koy was one of the first women to run for health when many people started running.

This made Koy tear up and laugh through her tears, saying, "At first, I didn’t feel it because I was 100% focused on my children from day one, delivering and raising them. They were my whole world, and I had little time to think about anything else."

As her children grew—her eldest turning four and youngest two—they began understanding and helping themselves. When her eldest started school, Koy found a bit of time for herself. Her routine became taking Nong Talay to school, right next to a gym and sports complex where she used to run during her running craze days.

Now, after dropping off Nong Talay, Koy goes for her own runs, not filming content since in Phuket she has no cameraman following her, no makeup, no friends to ask for photos, and no foreign coach who would say, "I'm here to coach, not to film content." So people don’t see that side of her.

Every time Koy looks at her phone, she feels the impact of recalling that she used to be there—running and having a group of friends sharing that energy. She remembers being part of that community.

She realized something was missing—her self-esteem, some of her self-worth had faded. She was surprised Ja Yossinee asked because this was something Koy had only discussed privately with Toon Bodyslam.

Toon understood everything but didn’t have answers; he just listened, which was enough. Sometimes Koy would ask herself what was truly important in life. One night, while putting her child to bed and looking at him, she found her answer.

She realized that the most important thing—the source of her value—is the person right in front of her, not others or people on social media, not even the crowd she once energized. It’s just these few family members. Thinking this brought her peace.

Koy still dreams of running marathons again someday, with her children cheering from the sidelines. For now, she keeps that dream and focuses on being the best mother she can be. Having been a mother for only four years, she knows she must keep learning, experiencing good and challenging days, understanding and sometimes not. She says being a mother means growing alongside your children; they are your teachers."
