He is another social media influencer beloved by netizens. Dr. Sunil or Dr. Sunil Phol is a famous dentist who creates educational dental content and shares his fun lifestyle on social media.
Recently, Dr. Sunil opened up about his life on the “Kon Lom Look” program on Workpoint Channel, explaining that success didn’t come overnight and he faced various challenges, including debt and a business crisis that nearly brought his life to a dead end.
During the COVID-19 crisis, his clinic business was heavily impacted as patient numbers and income dropped, while expenses and debts remained. He even had to mortgage his house and assets to keep the business running and reduce staff salaries.
His son suggested making content for social media, so he made a dance clip on TikTok. People thought Dr. Sunil had gone crazy or become eccentric, but he did it to boost sales and keep the business alive.
Then someone came along who changed his life and helped him make a leap forward, that person was Nicky Nachat. They actually hadn’t known each other before. He said Nicky called his son Kevin—who is well-known in the music industry and popular on social media—and wanted to film a "Home Tour" episode at his dad’s place.
I told Kevin that I wouldn’t open the house because we were barely making ends meet, but Kevin insisted the house was beautiful and should be shown. On the day Nicky came, I was lying upstairs and didn’t want to go down, but my wife encouraged me because Kevin had already arranged it and Nicky might feel disappointed. So I went down.”
Dr. Sunil said the clip received 5 to 6 million views, and after that, many other shows asked to feature him. When asked if Nicky really changed his life, he replied, “Exactly. After Nicky’s clip came out, we had no patients. My wife and I were upstairs at night when hundreds of messages popped up on the clinic’s phone asking to make dental appointments for the next day.”
Out of 100 people, 30 wanted to take photos, but 70 actually came for dental treatment. We thought it might be just a one-day dream, but to this day, we still see 60 to 70 patients daily.”
Dr. Sunil continued that he tattooed Nicky’s name on his leg, saying, “Today, I have Nicky’s name tattooed on my leg. I got it done in Koh Samui. Nicky was very happy and said no one else has a tattoo like this. For me, it’s a way to show gratitude to the person who brought a crucial turning point in my life.”
