Tonhom Sakuntala Reviews Weight Loss Pen, Warns Against Relying on Shortcuts Without Behavior Change

When the famous host and DJ "Tonhom Sakuntala" came forward to openly share her firsthand experience after using a weight loss pen for five months, alongside a disciplined, intense exercise routine. She warned those considering the pen not to rely solely on the medication. She also revealed a life-changing moment that made her turn to exercise and weight loss after nearly becoming disabled and losing the use of her legs in her forties. Tonhom explained,

“It’s not just the pen alone. I've been doing weight training consistently for five months. It’s like building my body’s furnace; even when I’m sitting still, my metabolism is working. What I have achieved today comes from my own discipline. The pen helps by stopping me from snacking, but you have to manage your entire routine yourself.”

“So my review is as honest as it gets. If anyone wants more credible information, listen to doctors—they have many videos. I’m speaking from a user’s perspective, so there’s no right or wrong, just my personal experience. I share what happened to me.”

“For example, if I feel very hungry, just ask your doctor why. Find your answers there. Don’t just blindly follow me. I’m just sharing truthful information about what’s good, what’s not, who it suits, and who it doesn’t.”

What have you been through? Does that mean you had to step back or change something?

“Before this, I fell backward and almost collapsed. My legs didn’t work properly. It made me realize I had lost muscle at such a young age. Usually, muscle loss like that happens around age 60 or 70, right?”

“That’s when I knew I had to start exercising. Since I was going to exercise, I decided to use the pen too. So I consulted a doctor who advised me to adjust five routines. I want to say to anyone considering the pen, if you can’t do these five things, don’t use it. But if you can, the pen is very helpful.”

What are the five things?

“Okay, the five are: controlling your diet, exercising, sleeping well, managing alcohol intake, and handling stress. I managed almost all except diet because I have a very strong appetite, especially women during their periods—it’s really hard to stop. But the doctor said the pen helps with that. So use the pen as an extra aid or supplement. I was willing to change because after that fall when my legs didn’t work, I was very scared.”

“In the first two weeks, I lost 4 kilograms. I’d never lost that much weight before. When I checked on a scale that separates muscle and fat, 2 kilograms lost were muscle, which means only 2 kilograms were fat. So I committed to heavy weight training for five months, never missing a week. I worked out at least twice a week until I stopped using the pen.”

“Because it’s under medical supervision—you can’t just start or stop whenever you want. After five months, the doctor said my weight would rebound by 2 kilograms, which is normal. But I wouldn’t yo-yo because my metabolism had been built. However, I changed my routine—I started working late at a spa, eating at midnight or 1 a.m. daily for over a month and stopped exercising completely.”

How much weight have you gained now?

“I gained back 2 kilograms as the doctor predicted, but my muscle mass remained. So if I look slim now, it’s because of the late-night eating.”

Do you still have muscle?

“If I continue with this routine, will I gain more weight? Yes, fat is starting to build up. We have to be aware of ourselves. So my honest review is that routine is the most important for sustainability. If you can maintain these five routines without the pen, you don’t need it—it’s a waste of money. And remember, the pen is medicine. If you want to try something, start with supplements first.”

So if you just use the pen without changing your lifestyle or habits, the result stays the same?

“No. What you lose is muscle. Believe it or not, even I get messages from people thanking me for speaking honestly. My review is very truthful, and some people have direct messaged me with questions. Honestly, I feel free to talk about the pen—it’s good. If it has benefits, just talk about the benefits and also be honest about the downsides. If people only talk about negatives out of fear, it’s unfair because it was invented for a reason. There are people like me who can’t exercise or lose weight easily and need hope.”

“That hope can actually help you change your life if one day you adjust your routine. For me, the pen was the starting point. Now that I’ve changed my routine, I love exercising. That’s the benefit of it. If it has advantages, just say so. It’s just a question of whether it suits you. You have to answer that yourself. It’s not for everyone.”
