Following the fire incident at the Beer Hall at Lat Phrao during the late night of 12 Jul 2026, continuing until around midnight on 13 Jul 2026, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries as previously reported.
Recently, female singer Benz Drinrat Mena Wanich also known as Benz Prikthai, posted a letter addressing venues that plan to hire her, regarding safety measures and evacuation plans to ensure the safety of artists, crew, and audiences, aiming to establish safety standards. The letter reads as follows:
“Announcement: Due to the fire incident at an entertainment venue in the Lat Phrao area, which caused significant loss and fatalities, artist Benz Prikthai and her team express their deepest condolences to the victims, their families, and all affected by this tragedy.
From this event, our team recognizes the critical importance of safety standards in performances, prioritizing the safety of the audience, crew, musicians, and all staff.
Therefore, for establishments or venues intending to hire Benz Prikthai for performances, we kindly request the following cooperation:
- Provide information about the venue's safety measures to the band in advance.
- Clearly identify and communicate emergency exit locations, including briefing the team on evacuation routes before each show.
- Ensure convenient, safe, and unobstructed access and exit paths.
- If there are any regulations or emergency response plans, please inform the team prior to starting work.
Our band believes that cooperation from all operators will build confidence and elevate safety standards for performances, allowing all parties to perform their duties and bring joy to audiences safely.
