Previously, the married couple Pek Sanchai and Tanya Thanyares caused a stir among fans after images showed them performing a ring exchange ceremony as a superstition remedy during a live broadcast. Recently, Pek and Tanya appeared on a live sales show on "Thairath Takra Taek" on Thairath TV channel 32. Entertainment journalist Jack Green of Thairath Entertainment interviewed them about this, as well as their daughter Liya's upcoming debut as a singer with the LOVEiS label on 21 July 2026.
Recently, we saw you wearing rings during the live sales broadcast?
Pek said, "(Looking at Tanya’s hand) Is she wearing it?"
Tanya replied, "No, I'm not wearing it (laughs)."
Pek said, "Damn."
Tanya laughed and explained, "No, it’s like this: it’s based on the advice of a master that Pek believes in. I'm someone who doesn't like wearing anything on my hands, but he said my fortune next year might lead me to meet someone new, so to avoid that, we just exchanged rings as a remedy."
Asked directly if Pek is jealous of Tanya?
Pek said, "Well... yeah, I don’t want to go to jail when I’m old (smiles). If Tanya’s in a coffin and I’m in jail (looking at Tanya), then why aren’t you wearing it?"
Tanya answered, "I just don’t like wearing too many things, but I keep the rings carefully. I threw away the old one, seriously. It was such a big deal, I got mad and threw it away, but I don’t know where it ended up. That was a long time ago. This new one is just for the superstition remedy."
But Pek really loves his ring and still wears it?
Pek said, "I always wear the old one. This new one, she refuses to wear it (looking at Tanya)."
Tanya laughed.
Tanya said, "Maybe a fated and cursed pair."
Pek agreed, "Something like that."
Tanya added, "We’re always fighting. Is this spontaneous or scripted? Spontaneous, no rehearsal, no script."
Do you get angry during those moments of affection?
Tanya said, "No, not really. When we talk normally, sometimes we tease each other. We know it’s not serious."
But you always care for each other?
Tanya said, "Of course, I worry. He’s doing so many vitamin drips; otherwise, our child won’t see her father when he’s old."
Pek joked, "Well, then I can get a new husband (smiles)."
Tanya laughed and continued seriously, "Honestly, the reason we exchanged rings is because we’re both afraid. We don’t want to have new relationships because it’s exhausting. Look at this one person, who knows how many years we’ll grow old together. If one of us finds someone new, who knows how many more years that will add."
Pek said, "Wow, are you saying you’ll have someone new? You’ll be sleeping in a coffin then."
Tanya said, "If you die first, then you should get more vitamin drips."
Asked about Liya, who will debut as an artist on 21 July, will you go to support and surprise her?
Pek said, "I’m happy, very happy, and excited, anxious."
Tanya said, "Excited. When our child is out, oh, I get excited. Has she practiced for you to watch? No, not at all. She’s been rehearsing very hard now with her five-member band. How do we follow her progress? If she tells us she has to go somewhere, we know."
Pek said, "She rehearses from 11 a.m. until midnight every day, then comes home. Someone picks her up late every day. We’ll wait and see."
Will she surprise you on the 21st?
Tanya said, "Yes."
Pek said, "She won’t surprise us. It’s her debut. But we’ll be surprised."
Tanya said, "Yes, we’ll be surprised. She doesn’t let us see or spoil anything beforehand. We’ll see it on the actual day."

Pek said, "I just hope everyone supports her as planned and that she succeeds as hoped."
Tanya said, "I want to encourage all five members because I know how hard they’ve worked and how dedicated they are. The kids are excited, and the parents are excited too. They’re all talented, each with their own strengths. Am I afraid I’ll cry seeing them perform? No, but I’ll be touched and excited. Do we have light sticks? Yes, so please come and support when you can."
Now she already has a fan club?
Tanya said, "Yes, wherever she goes, people ask to take photos with her (laughs). Not many want photos with me anymore."
