Krit Sripoomseth Ignores Backlash, Plans New Premium Gelato Prices, Confident His Is Worlds Best

Regarding the recent intense online drama involving the premium gelato brand PARAMETER Gelato, Krit Sripoomseth openly responded to media questions about the criticism, firmly stating that the drama has not caused any decline in customers.

Have customers dropped off since the drama?

"Not at all. Before this interview, people told me to give a softer answer since things are very heated and I’ve been getting calls all day. But I can’t lie because it’s the truth. If it wasn’t delicious or good, people wouldn’t buy it. Focus here: my prices are 299, 419, 519, 559 baht, and soon I’ll launch a new product at 700 baht. I’m not just increasing prices randomly; these are very special items prepared well in advance, not in reaction to the controversy. There will be options at 700, 800, and 900 baht for the same size of 90-100 grams. So please, no drama."

The drama hasn’t caused fewer customers, right?

"Honestly, my customers fall into two groups: first, repeat customers, mostly younger people who then bring their parents; second, foreigners. Others might be content creators who come, eat, and leave. I understand that. I’m confident my product is good and different from anything you’ve tried before. When they try it, they’re impressed. That’s the best marketing. If someone comes and doesn’t take photos of the shop, I’m happy—they can enjoy it fully and even call their mom to say how delicious it is. Once, an Israeli customer came and FaceTimed his wife, saying this is the best gelato in the world. That made me really happy. I feel good about that, even more than content creators, who I don’t mind either way. They can come or not, it’s up to them."

Do you dare say your gelato is number one?

"In the world, yes. I’m confident. Pistachio, hazelnut, chocolate, espresso gelato—number one in the world from what I’ve tasted. I’ve tried Michelin three-star places and think mine tastes better. Regarding gelato, Italy is number one, but I haven’t only tried Italy; I’ve tried them all—Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Japan. I’ve eaten them all."

As for the video clip where I was teasing and joking with kids, it turned into a big mess. Honestly, that’s what happened. But my gelato is the best in the world—I truly mean that."
