The customer then noticed bleeding on the tongue and was shocked to find that the object chewed was a pea-sized glass fragment, some of which was accidentally swallowed, sparking an online controversy.
Recently, PARAMETER posted a clarification letter about the issue on their Parameter Facebook page with the following content:
“Statement from PARAMETER
Regarding the case of a customer sustaining an injury during service,
Following the social media reports about a customer injured by glass fragments while using services at PARAMETER,
PARAMETER sincerely regrets and apologizes to the customer for the incident. We fully understand that this event has affected the customer's feelings and trust, which we regard as extremely important.
Once we learned of the incident, management and staff provided full assistance to the customer, advising them to seek medical treatment, covering all related expenses, and continuously monitoring the customer's condition.
Additionally, after the incident and upon learning of the social media reports, staff contacted the customer to listen to their feedback and offered further support if needed.
At the same time, PARAMETER has reviewed and upgraded safety protocols at every stage of service, including glassware management, pre-serving inspections, operational standard reviews, and employee training to prevent recurrence.
This incident is an important lesson for us and motivates PARAMETER to raise the standards of customer care and safety.
