Fans were shocked when watching the “Kuman Travel” show, especially one episode featuring the children of the famous couple. Guy Ratchanont and Haru Supakob almost got hit by a pickup truck while crossing the road at Rom Hub Market in Samut Songkhram province.
In the clip titled “Almost an Incident... at Rom Hub Market | Kuman Travel EP:422” on the YouTube channel Guy Haru Family, there is a segment where Guy and Haru take their three children, Kirin, Naira, and Eden, for a walk at Rom Hub Market. While crossing the road, a pickup truck did not slow down and honked loudly.
Acting on his paternal instinct, Guy quickly stepped in to block the truck. After his children safely crossed, Guy approached the pickup and opened the door to speak to the driver, saying, “Sir, my children are crossing. How can you drive like that?”
The driver replied something like, ‘Just go ahead, it’s stuck, the traffic is stopped.’ Guy responded, “People can walk too, sir. This is a pedestrian area.” But the driver ignored him and drove off immediately.
After the incident, Guy Ratchanont spoke about it while taking his children to eat, saying, “I just want to say that this is a tourist area with many people, both Thai and foreigners, coming to visit, spend money, and promote the place.
Like the delivery drivers, they come here because there are tourists. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have work delivering goods here. So everyone needs to be a bit more patient. Tourists have to cross roads, and ultimately vehicles must stop for pedestrians. It’s not like, ‘Hey, I’m not going.’ You can’t cause a fuss like that. It’s better for everyone if we all stay calm from the start.”
This prompted fans to flood comments criticizing the driver, such as: “The truck rushed forward even though people were crossing, and there were children. Luckily, Guy didn’t cut this part out.” “Children were crossing, and you should stop to let them pass, not speed through like that, almost hitting them.”
“He should have seen them from far away since crossing is obvious, but he still rushed and almost hit the kids. I really admire Guy for stepping in.” “Love Dad Guy — his timing in blocking the truck was great. Tourist spots have many kids and visitors, so drivers must be careful. Behaviors like this ruin the country’s image,” and so on.
