Relatives and well-wishers have been sending support to Alin, the daughter of Dr. Oak Smith and Opal Panisara after the father shared a photo of "Alin" his daughter, who had to be rushed to the hospital due to severe stomach pain and nausea.
The father wrote that at first he thought his daughter had food poisoning, but after an initial examination, it turned out not to be the case. She was urgently brought to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with appendicitis and required emergency surgery in the middle of the night.
“Last night, Alin complained of stomach pain and nausea. Initially, I thought it was food poisoning, but upon examination, tenderness was found at McBurney’s point and Rovsing’s sign was positive—pressing on the left side caused pain on the right (thankful for the surgical knowledge I still remember). So, I took her to the hospital for confirmation. She underwent laparoscopic surgery to treat appendicitis at 2 AM. Many thanks to the medical team, nurses, radiology and ER staff, and all personnel involved. Everything was very quick and smooth. She needs to stay in the hospital to recover. I apologize to all clinic patients for having to postpone appointments.”
