Following the case where the online community has been helping to search for "Hlun Solo" a well-known YouTuber who disappeared while filming a show in Georgia. His relatives have been unable to contact him for over two weeks, and currently many sectors are urgently mobilizing to find him.
Recently, the program Midday News covered this story, during which Noom Kanchai expressed discomfort with some comments and took the opportunity to remind netizens who have been criticizing the matter negatively and making various accusations, saying
“Now, some people who think they have special powers are starting to say, ‘He is here, he is there,’ and so on. This is a serious matter. Please don’t unleash such ‘special powers’ yet; first, consider your own family. For this case, let the authorities or others who have good intentions in the search handle it. I have seen some comments that made me shake my head. It’s unbearable. We must also have sympathy for his family. This is not a trivial issue.”
“I understand and respect everyone’s right to express their opinions, but I ask some people, please don’t criticize or blame him. Help find him first. When I see some comments, I feel uneasy. Some say he deserved it.”
“Please don’t say that. Honestly, if we look at it positively, at least he went to explore things we might never have seen or known, and he shared from another part of the world, allowing us to learn about other countries and people in different regions. If we see it positively, I think it’s good that we got to watch his YouTube channel. Don’t look at it negatively or insult him. Right now, his family is struggling to find him.”
“Also, some comments are inappropriate. I must say his story has inspired many people. It’s his dream. We shouldn’t blame him. Everyone has choices and paths. I’m not trying to defend him but want people to understand that human beings live by dreams and inspiration. Some want to do this or that. He worked hard to save money to follow his dream, and he succeeded.”
Meanwhile, Muay Arisara added, “He started as a factory worker earning 300 baht, working 10-12 hours a day, but managed to save money and win a full scholarship to Chulalongkorn University. While studying, he saved money and used it to fulfill his dream. It’s admirable.”
Noom Kanchai said, “Yes, but while some keep criticizing and insulting him, sometimes they only have 300 baht in their own pocket like him but lack the dream or inspiration to do what he has done. So please don’t blame him. I was surprised to see such comments, but everyone has different perspectives. I don’t see it that way.”
