Around 8 p.m. recently, Wan Chai posted the sad news of Halun Solo's passing on the Volunteers to Share News page, saying, “I have found Halun's body. My condolences to Halun's family. I have informed the family. Please let them be the ones to share the details.”
This post sparked drama as it was seen as stealing the spotlight from the on-site team. The page Drama-addict shared a post from an actual on-site team member expressing frustration, saying they felt exhausted as the paperwork was incomplete but an influencer publicly announced the news. The team had been working since morning but had no official documents yet. Everything requires proper documentation before public statements can be made.
Recently, Wan Chai clarified this issue, stating,“I apologize for being the one to announce the news. I coordinated with Khun Moss, Halun's brother, to liaise between the two countries and received confirmation from the police station. I informed Halun's family and was authorized by them to announce the news to end the ongoing search efforts by various teams. As for the details, I believe it is better for the family and directly involved parties to make official statements.”
