It is heartbreaking news for Thai people when Halun Solo or Mr. Bawornthat Pengsuk a well-known travel YouTuber, died at a hotel in Tbilisi, Georgia, while filming a travel show. He had lost contact with his family for more than two weeks before being found deceased.
Recently, Kwan Pimupsorn Thiamsawat a drama producer and daughter of Sorapong Chatree and Yo Tatsawan Seniwong Na Ayutthaya, posted a photo of Halun Solo, stating that he was an alumnus of Chulalongkorn University's Rural Scholarship Program, Class 37, from Kalasin Province. She also wrote a caption expressing her condolences:
“Halun was a junior from Chulalongkorn’s political science faculty who reminded me of friends from the provinces living in dorms. But he was incredibly talented and determined—so much so that even a Bangkok kid like me felt ashamed. He was exactly like that.
We were both scholarship students, but Halun’s scholarship was not easy to get. He had to be exceptionally excellent.
Halun was very close to his grandmother, like I am to mine. My grandmother dresses like that, fights through life like that, gardens like that, so I know how deeply grandmothers and grandchildren love each other.
His grandmother must be very proud of him for never using his lack of life’s advantages as an excuse not to strive to improve his life, even though taking the easy way would have been much simpler.
A person determined to do good, no matter how tough the challenges, will succeed.
May Halun rest in peace. Thank you for using your life to inspire so many people in a way that is worthy and truly admirable.”
Many from the entertainment industry and fans expressed their condolences for Halun’s passing, including Kwang Kamolchanok who said, “I feel so sorry for him,” Jejintai Antimanon said, “I watched his YouTube channel every night. It’s so heartbreaking. May he rest in peace,” and Nok Jariya said, “May he travel happily, peacefully, and brightly,” among others.
