
Once a former artist highly admired by fans for his musical work, the duo Smith & Chain consisting of two members, Smith Bandit and Chain Muangkruth,
who currently Smith has suffered from a stroke causing a blocked blood vessel, resulting in left-side paralysis and hemiparesis. Due to lack of income, his treatment has been inconsistent, worsening his condition and causing a repeated blood vessel rupture.
Smith has become bedridden with symptoms of memory loss, living with his father. His siblings, fans, and some acquaintances have been helping and donating money for his treatment.
Recently, the fan page of the famous singer and musician "Poom Pongsaprom Snitwong Na Ayutthaya" a songwriter and former member of the popular band 'Tawan' from the late 1980s to early 1990s, shared photos of Poom visiting Smith Bandit at the meditation hut in Chonburi to offer encouragement to keep fighting his illness, not giving up, and hoping for his physical recovery and improved quality of life.
Additionally, Poom Pongsaprom and his wife organized a Ganesha amulet auction to raise funds for Smith’s medical expenses. The fan group who have continuously supported him also contributed financially.
Smith Bandit was once a beloved artist, part of the duo Smith & Chain with members Smith Bandit and Chain Muangkruth. They released the album Colour of Love, featuring hit songs like 'I Love You' and 'Mee Tur.'
