Fans were greatly concerned about the accident involving Ann Thongprasom. She was hit in the face by a ball while exercising with the younger actor, James Jirayu. Recently, when Ann was reached for comment, she shared an update on her condition, saying
"I blame myself because I was the one who invited James to play. I had just finished Hyrox training, and that move wasn’t part of the Hyrox routine. It was something we made up to have fun and record content. The actual ball we’re supposed to use weighs 6 kilograms. James asked, 'Should we use the 6-kilogram ball?' I said no, it’s too heavy. Since we’d finished training, we used a lighter ball to make the content more fun, so we switched to 3 kilograms. I’m very lucky it was the 3-kilogram ball; otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t be standing here now. It could have seriously injured my face. At that moment, I couldn’t see anything at all."
Actually, when we were playing, a friend was counting because there was a block in front of me blocking my view. I couldn’t see when James was throwing. The person beside me would say when James threw, and then he’d throw, so I’d hear it. But that time, my friend turned to laugh with another friend and didn’t count the toss to me. So I was slower to react than usual. When I looked up, the ball was already at my face. Fortunately, I tensed up just in time. If I hadn’t, it wouldn’t have been worth it. I heard a snapping sound in my neck ligaments, a loud crack right in my ear. I didn’t know what the sound was."
I was a bit shocked. It turned out to be muscle or ligament strain, but it’s okay. Luckily, I’m not seriously hurt. I went to see the doctor and got checked out. I was scared too, afraid I might be paralyzed or bedridden. So this is a warning—don’t play this way."
