The entertainment industry is mourning the sudden passing of a former young singer. Tae Thaman Taepan also known as Tae Dragon Five a member of Dragon Five, a famous boy band, who went missing from his home in the early hours of 6 August 2026. Volunteer rescue workers later found Tae's body in the Chao Phraya River near Rama VII Bridge, Nonthaburi Province, at 14:10 on 7 August 2026.
Recently, the family brought the body of Tae Dragon Five to Wat Buakwan, Sala 5, where Buddhist funeral rites began at 18:00 on 8 August 2026. The atmosphere was deeply sorrowful. Namkhaeng Walaiphan Srinapaparn, Tae Dragon Five’s girlfriend, was heavily grieving, embracing relatives and close friends while crying intensely. At times, she spoke quietly with Tae’s friends. Meanwhile, Taephan’s mother was also visibly saddened but received continual support from people in the entertainment industry and guests attending the ceremony.
Many figures from the entertainment world came to express their condolences and support, including Andy Khemphimuk, Ying Kanya Raewin, Pear Palawi Boonnak, Teen Sarawut Poomthong, X Thiti Vechabul, Wah Wah China Doll, Nikki Pim, among others.
The funeral schedule for Tae Dragon Five includes Buddhist rites at 19:00 on Sunday 9 August and Monday 10 August 2026. On Tuesday 11 August 2026, there will be an almsgiving ceremony for monks at 11:00, followed by the cremation at 15:00. Thairath Entertainment extends its deepest condolences once again.
