Fans and beauty pageant supporters came out in large numbers to show their support after "Ning Patthama Jitsawat," Miss Grand Thailand 2026, faced heavy criticism and keyboard bullying over her appearance, especially regarding her uneven eyes, with frequent comments urging her to have cosmetic surgery.
Recently, Khun Phan, Ning's personal manager, posted a message clarifying the facts about Ning Patthama's physical health condition to foster proper understanding in society. The manager stated,
"I’m Phan, Ning Patthama’s manager. I would like to clarify the situation regarding her eyes.
Ning has had congenital ptosis, a condition where the muscles that lift the eyelids do not function fully. This causes her upper eyelids to droop and partially block her vision, making her eyes uneven and appear sad or half-closed all the time.
She has consulted doctors and undergone treatment twice. The condition has worsened due to aging, causing her eyelid muscles to weaken further, as well as factors like lack of rest and allergies that directly affect her nervous system.
No one deserves to be bullied because of an illness or their physical characteristics. Everyone has beauty within themselves, regardless of skin color, height, or ethnicity. Regarding makeup, looks, and presentation, our team is actively working to improve and develop these aspects. Thank you."
