Additionally, Taephan's mother, Tae's mother gave an interview saying, "I would like to thank everyone who came to see Tae off for the last time. One fan had just flown in from Taiwan this morning. It made me realize how much Tae was loved. I am very grateful to all of you."

"My feelings as a mother are that Tae was my angel. He cared for me from childhood until adulthood without ever arguing or raising his voice. He rarely hurt my feelings. Although he spoke less as he grew older, his actions were consistent. As I aged and made many friends in various groups and traveled, I told Tae about my trips. He was happy that I got to travel. He prepared clothes and bags for me. He was happily living with Namkeng (his girlfriend). Both Namkeng’s mother and sister cared warmly for him. Tae was very happy."

"Sometimes, when Tae didn’t visit often, he would call me. When we ended the call, he would say, ‘Mom, I love you.’ Once, I said my shoes were uncomfortable, and he took me to pick out new ones."

"On the first day without my son, I couldn’t compose myself. I felt like I had nothing left. Tae’s father had passed away long ago, and now Tae was gone too. There was no one left. But meeting Andy, Yuan, Oak, and especially Andy, who stayed close and offered advice, along with others around me who cared, helped me regain composure. I vow to keep going because I have the support and encouragement of everyone."

Tae’s girlfriend, Namkeng, said, "Thank you, P’Tae, for everything. We were together a long time, growing through every phase together. You were my brother and everything in my life, teaching me and being very kind. I want to tell you, ‘Thank you for coming into my life. Rest peacefully and don’t worry about those behind you. We will take care of each other. You have done so much already. Sleep well.’".
