They are close friends who have always supported each other, including Gubgib Sumonthip and Dew Arisara who, no matter the life storms or drama they face, continue to hold hands and show concern for each other.
Recently, we had the chance to meet Gubgib along with her husband Bie Thassapak Chi and their daughter, Nong Bao Bao, at the event 'Muang Maraya The Musical.' Gubgib shared her thoughts about Dew Arisara after seeing her friend happy and moving forward with new things, admitting she feels relieved because she believes everyone has their own timing and learns from life on their own.
May I ask about Dew Arisara’s recent news about her new relationship? How is it going?
"Actually, I’m happy for my friend. Since she faced problems, I never spoke out because honestly, it’s not my place to say. When you’re married with a family, everyone’s personal matters belong to them. My role is simply to support my friend. Whatever decisions she makes, right or wrong, I accept them. Now that she’s happy, I have no worries, that’s all."
How do you feel, especially since she said you’re one friend who’s never abandoned her?
"We’ve been friends for a very long time. I don’t know why we’d ever leave each other; she hasn’t done anything to me. I believe everyone has their own life timing and learns everything on their own. There’s no need to tell her what to do; she’s grown up, married, has a family, and must understand her own actions."
"A friend’s role is to be there no matter what happens. I’m not the type to get involved in anyone’s drama or judge anyone. My duty is simply to support when there are problems. Hungry? Come over. Stressed? Call me. Happy? I’m glad. I don’t often ask when friends are happy, but when they’re down, I just say I’m here."
Have you gone so far as to hire a friend because you really wanted to meet her?
"Not really. That day, Dew called to say she was going live and asked if I had any presenters or clients to recommend. I said I had a presenter and would arrange it. I wanted to help her earn income. So, I contacted my manager to coordinate with the brand, and then I went to see her."
"I realized she works hard. We haven’t met casually elsewhere because there’s no time. When she comes, she works, and I just make sure to provide food. That’s how I show care and love—through looking after meals. I’m not the type to talk or post a lot on social media. That’s just my style."
When was the last time you met?
"The last time was probably that live event, but we talk all the time. We just don’t meet often because our schedules don’t align."
After she revealed her new love, there were rumors about a wedding?
"No, that’s not something I can speak about. It’s better for her to say. I’m just happy she’s happy. I think some rumors are true, some not. When the time is right, she can share what she wants others to know. I’m always ready and happy to support my friend. Whatever she learns or experiences, I believe there is some good hidden in it."
