The curtain has risen for the press to preview the highly anticipated blockbuster musical of the year, "Muang Maraya The Musical" This time, Boy Takonkiet Veerawan the director, presents something fresh by drawing on two famous 1990s TV dramas, “Maraya Ritsaya” and “Muang Maya,” mixing parts of both into a spicy new musical. This modern production depicts the fierce rivalry between “Piangdao” and “Dee Nee” as they vie for top status in entertainment and love. Audiences will see iconic legendary scenes that remain viral today on stage at Muang Thai Ratchadalai Theater, starring Pat Suthasini, Amanda Obdam, James Ma, along with Ying Ratha, Chai Chatayodom, Nont Inthanon, Tawan Panwa, Kaona Kittiphat, and Pao Paworada.

The opening show features a solo by Pat Suthasini, known as the “Queen of Thai Musical.” She returns to the stage after 7 years, captivating every audience member with her powerful singing and acting as “Piangdao,” a star shining brightly at her peak and then facing her fading spotlight. She also surprises viewers with a bold new character unlike anything seen before.

Pat delivers intense exchanges with Amanda Obdam, who plays “Dee Nee,” a rising star fiercely challenging the throne. Their fiery dialogues are as thrilling as a boxing match. Amanda has earned high praise, making a strong theater debut by showcasing all her skills spectacularly in every scene. Her charming, mischievous persona both on and off camera has won her fans and made audiences want to tease her playfully. Any older sister who has ever been Amanda’s social media guardian must not miss cheering for this national favorite.

James Ma plays “Ohm,” a warm-hearted photographer caught between the two women’s affections. This role suits him perfectly, enhancing his charm and performance, especially in touching duets with Pat that are beautifully fitting. His solo performances also move the audience deeply.
