Earlier, a heated drama erupted on social media after a reporter interviewed "Mam Sirinya McDonald" the wife of "Ray McDonald" who opened up about the loss of her husband. However, some people focused on the wrong aspect, commenting and questioning her demeanor during the interview, asking why the wife still smiled, appeared not sad, and spoke normally.
But many netizens came to defend her, arguing that people cope with grief in different ways, and trying to stay strong in front of the media so others do not also feel sorrow is commendable.
Recently, Kwang Pojanee Sripinyo wife of Danny Sripinyo, who also recently lost her husband, shared her opinion on this matter, saying
"Smiling doesn’t mean you’re not sad, right? You don’t know how shattered it is inside. But you have to smile and be strong for others to see, for receiving guests, for giving interviews, and handling many other tasks. Sometimes tears may be falling inside right now."
She added, "I understand how she feels inside, losing a husband like that. My condolences to Ray’s family as well."
She further wrote, "It’s been four months, but deep inside I’m still not okay, like a surgical wound not fully healed and ready to open anytime," and "When alone, I deeply sink into depression. There isn’t a day I don’t cry."
