Fans of the life-genre music were deeply worried when the legendary artist Add Carabao (Yuenyong Opakul) posted a dramatic yet humorous account of a severe illness that forced him to urgently seek hospital treatment after suffering a persistent, painful cough for nine full days.
In his usual good spirits, Add explained that the persistent cough was due to "the disease of self-medicating with the wrong drugs," which worsened because he had recently stopped using cannabis drops for sleep. This led to increasingly severe symptoms until he could no longer endure it and sought treatment at Chiang Rai Prachanukroh Hospital. After thorough examination and a lung X-ray, doctors confirmed his lungs were healthy with no serious disease. After just one night of proper medication, his cough greatly improved, and he slept soundly, waking up fully energized.
Fully recovered and ready to run, Add plans to resume his running regimen immediately after a two-day rest. He also shared about his recent charitable activity, participating in a fundraising concert to support police officers at Tawan Daeng, Chiang Rai, organized by Police Major General Manop Senakul (Commander Jong), a classmate of his younger brother, Commander Yong. Afterwards, he traveled to rest in Lampang Province.
Ending with good news for fans, Add said he woke up inspired and is preparing to compose a new song titled "Protect Faith" for Jeck Ee. He hopes this life-genre song will awaken the Thai people's consciousness to collectively protect and conserve the forests.
