The beauty pageant industry has been ignited by a hot issue when “Boss Nawat Issarakraisil” came forward to clearly clarify the matter regarding the police report filed against “Fatima Boss,” Miss Universe 2025, on charges of defamation, along with posting a message on his Instagram story in both Thai and English saying “We are currently expediting the issuance of an arrest warrant for Fatima Boss on charges of defamation, slander, and disseminating false information, supported by clear evidence.” This incident has attracted the attention of beauty pageant fans worldwide. Recently, “Boss Nawat” gave a clear explanation
about the arrest warrant and why it must be expedited.
“I have not yet issued the arrest warrant, just entered the process of doing so because we reported this case at the end of last year and have been proceeding for about 7-8 months. The reason for reporting is that this beauty queen, Fatima, as everyone knows, committed blatant defamation. After leaving the room, she told others that I used the word ‘Dumbhead,’ which is an insulting and harsh term, implying I insulted her with inappropriate language. I have told her this and tried to communicate in every way and tried to be kind to her. Even after the contest ended, I approached her to settle things peacefully. However, after returning to Miami, she appeared on a program or interview where she repeated the claim that I called her ‘Dumbhead.’ I have posted the clip already. Everyone must remember that digital footprints cannot be erased. In that conversation, whether good or bad, the word ‘Dumbhead’ was never used; the only word was ‘Damage,’ which she may have misunderstood due to her English proficiency, but I doubt that because she can communicate well in English with us. We asked her to stop saying that word, but she refused. So we must use the law. This concerns human rights—the right of the accused to contest the claim that I said such a word. It’s a legal matter, so we filed the complaint because she wouldn’t stop. I want the world to understand; I don’t want to be her victim. I must stand up for what is right, and this process is moving toward issuing an arrest warrant, which is the proper procedure. If she has proof that I said ‘Dumbhead,’ she can produce it. You can check Facebook history; I haven’t deleted anything. The digital footprint is intact. There is no ‘Dumbhead,’ only ‘Damage.’ If she disagrees or doesn’t consent, that’s her right. She can review everything from start to finish of that day. I keep the posts available.”
Why do you think she is so convinced of this claim?
“She is deliberately defaming me. This person entered the contest intentionally. I cared for her; I love all women worldwide. But she tries to use other women as victims. Everyone knows she received special privileges. I told the organization's senior staff, now Mr. Mario, not to give Fatima from Mexico these privileges, as she comes from a company owned by Mr. Raul. It looks bad, but they didn't listen. For example, from the first day she arrived, I secretly took a photo of her with a personal security guard carrying a stun gun on her waist, following her closely. This happened at the Grand Richmond Hotel. I was in the elevator with two others. When the elevator opened to her floor, she entered with a female security guard in blue uniform with a stun gun on her waist. I took a snapshot in the dark; she didn’t see me at first but may have sensed me later, though the elevator was moving then. I didn’t want to cause suspicion for those present. Many contestants knew about this security detail, but some felt uncomfortable, feeling harassed, exploited, and diminished in their female power. I tried to help by negotiating with the organization to stop such treatment, to avoid assigning separate makeup artists or special care, but to no avail. Therefore, her defamation is a tactic to create controversy and deliberately defame me. For example, during an interview on Telemundo, when the host displeased her, she walked out and didn’t return. Recently, in another interview, she slammed the microphone away. She behaves like this. I endured it. We must separate empowerment from her behavior. The incident in the room, I don’t hold it against her; I sympathize. Sometimes she loses control, and the repeated words were spoken after I had already talked to her and others. Then she suddenly stood up wanting to speak, but we told her to sit because we were talking with others. She insisted on speaking immediately, and when told no, she screamed, stomped out, saying, ‘I came to the wrong place,’ and left. I’m confident women’s power and the Universe’s power are sacred. We can’t let such a person destroy hope for women worldwide. So we stand against and fight this. I feel sorry for contestants from Côte d’Ivoire, the Philippines, Venezuela, Latin America, and even Thailand. I have a stake but won’t speak on that; I pity those exploited by this one woman. I believe in women’s power. I have promoted women for over 20 years, empowering many to overcome suffering. From what has happened, Fatima is destroying women’s power and exploiting women. The contest was not equal—she had security following her, skipped sponsor activities, and disregarded others. This is unequal treatment, harming the power women should have equally.”
What are the specific defamation allegations?
“The defamation concerns false accusations, mainly the word ‘Dumbhead’ that I’ve addressed in many countries. The key point is that after becoming CEO on this side, I accessed documents, data, and even contacted the judges from that day. I confirm that more than half of the judges did not select Fatima as the winner. But we must accept this reality. Women worldwide and all contestants: will you be victims? Will you be tools? There is no transparency, no proof, and evidence has been destroyed. But don’t forget, the best evidence is the people who scored. If what I say is false, contact the judges; they can confirm who they chose. This is my campaign: I want them to stop using the phrase ‘women empowerment’ when they are actually harming the dreams of women who invested effort to compete. Last year, more than half the judges did not choose her as winner. Look at the organization—it is full of scandals, including sexual harassment cases involving the CEO and Mr. Raul. After this, I won’t care what anyone says. I await the law to confirm the truth. What she invents may have allies repeating it, but truth never dies, and some will face the truth soon.”
Is this the first time you openly claim that the 2025 results weren’t decided by all judges?
“I just asked who had access backstage, but that’s not important. What matters is that we can contact the judges and have seen some things. So my question is: more than half the judges did not select her. I won’t specify numbers because it might shock. They did not choose her in the final or any previous rounds. I ask: is her victory one that harms women’s power worldwide, destroys their hopes? She is a Universe Killer, a Hope Killer, an Empower Woman Killer. I cannot accept this. I have stood here for over 20 years, and I will help restore empowerment. We must not be under the influence of this mafia gang.”
Do you expect any feedback or backlash since this seems like overturning last year’s results?
“Whatever happens, I don’t care. I speak as CEO of the Eastern side. Don’t say I’m not; I have a legal invitation and have signed. I do things properly. Only the right people stand gracefully. I think many will translate my words into all languages. I appeal to women worldwide, beauty pageant fans, and contestants: we must cherish our empowerment and not let it be destroyed by strange management that makes us question how she won when the majority of judges didn’t choose her. Why parade empowerment? True empowerment lies from first runner-up to number 130—those who endure exploitation excellently (applause). From now on, let her post whatever she wants; don’t be affected. The law is universal. Defamation law applies internationally, not just in Thailand. If you say otherwise, you don’t understand the law.”
You’ve spoken so much—do you want to name who decided the results?
“Oh, not yet. It’s not time.”
So will there be another reveal?
“No reveal. Everything must be resolved properly. We can’t let women be exploited like this. Contestants must stay alert and not be victims. Everyone says she was right to stand up in the room; I’m not talking about that incident but about her defamation outside the room. The room incident is over; I cried because I was upset, but that’s done. The outside issue of calling me ‘Dumbhead’ is repeated defamation, even on TV. So let’s focus on this. She won’t win anything except repeating the same story mixed with calls for women’s empowerment. I will support women worldwide who are cheated out of their victories, on any stage.”
Where is the case now since you reported it late last year?
“The police say there is progress and may issue an arrest warrant because summons attempts are uncertain. This is just an update; I don’t know the final result. I want Mr. Raul, Mr. Ronald Day, Mr. MJ, and Fatima to explain this, not waste time insulting each other and spreading false stories. If you think Natalie Glebova chose you, say so; she will confirm. If you think Nok Chalida chose you, say so; she will confirm. If you think Lewis chose you, say so. Be straightforward.”
Since this is an international case, how can the law call her in if she is abroad?
“They can’t compel her. If she doesn’t come, she won’t. But if an arrest warrant is issued, immigration will be alerted, so she cannot enter Thailand. We observe this situation and await clarity from her. Don’t forget we support women’s power. Women’s power must not be destroyed by gender or by men using incompatible tactics.”
What is your hope with the complaint? Do you want to fight in court or just get the arrest warrant?
“I want her to stop. Most importantly, I protect my rights. Imagine someone insults you, calling you wicked, but you never said that. You might feel uncomfortable once or twice, but when it reaches TV multiple times, you must defend yourself. That’s all. What I shared are the suspicious facts. Whether true or not, we can summarize later or wait for her response.”
Has Miss Universe and Fatima responded?
“That’s a different matter. I talk about illegal defamation. They talk about the atmosphere in the room and women’s empowerment. But I say women must not be victims. I’m going to start a new hashtag: women must not be victims of crime. It’s simple. Women call a call center, but we shouldn’t be victims. Empowering women by sending money to callers is wrong. We must distinguish empowerment from wrongdoers. If you’re wrong, don’t misuse empowerment. Organizations that do wrong lose credibility.”
What about Mr. Ronald?
“I don’t want to get involved, but since he posted about me, I want him to address the sexual harassment issue spreading around. The Universe organization should not have sexual harassment leading it. It harms the brand’s reputation. He wrote about empowerment while hurting a young man. According to reports from Spain and England, I want him to explain. If the young man in the news is willing, contact MGI. We will fully assist legally. No one should be anyone’s victim. We want justice and proper empowerment. Stop oppressing beauty queens, stop exploiting them, stop using titles as family toys. Enough.”
This issue seems to worsen daily. Do you think it will escalate further?
“This is my last statement. What happens next is their business. I will focus on my duties. Tomorrow I will talk about Miss Grand International. Remember, the Miss Grand International pageant in India starts on 18 September. That’s enough.”
Will this problem affect the atmosphere for Thailand’s representative competing in Mexico? Will she feel uncomfortable?
“No, it’s fine. Whatever happens, as I said, top 100 is appropriate. It’s okay; we gave our best. True power is women’s power without exploiting others, honest, and fair in competition. If we are afraid, we lose from the start. Our victory isn’t just the crown, but joining purely and correctly. This year is her responsibility. After I said this, don’t ask if I will go to Puerto Rico.”
So you’re not worried it will affect our contestant?
“Not unusual. Clear women’s empowerment first. Don’t use empowerment as a tool for other actions. When it’s clear, then want crown number 3.”
So that’s why you don’t mind if she makes top 100?
“I say whoever wins the crown will be very famous. It’s not necessary to have the Miss Universe crown in Puerto Rico because they will represent true women’s empowerment. Whoever wins, I will have them immediately start the Empower Woman Around the World project. They will be a role model uniting empowerment. I have said that the current Miss Universe Thailand will lead this project, screening women who are truly empowered and clean, not using fake empowerment to exploit others.”
Is there a particular initiative you want to promote?
“To promote fair and transparent beauty contests like we do, set an example, and expose lawbreakers to ensure punishment and deterrence.”
How do you feel now about the Universe stage?
“Good. I believe in the word ‘Universe,’ not in people. I carry the brand for the fans worldwide. I don’t carry problematic individuals. I stand here bearing the heaviest burden. Who else will fight? If we don’t, Universe will be empty. I fight for everyone. So I believe in the brand, not the individuals. I hope the brand survives safely through this storm and its severe life challenges. This is the first and only Universe Life in 75 years.”
Some say everything will be restored to normal with new ownership. What do you think?
“I don’t want to comment. I agree, but how? It’s difficult because they caused many legal problems. So we must wait for the cases to resolve and stay quiet in the meantime. All this empowerment talk is empty. How can exploitation be empowerment? Over half the judges didn’t choose her but she won? Empowerment isn’t about that.”
