NCT 127 makes a grand return with their seventh full album ‘BLINGY,’ compiling nine diverse tracks including rock, pop, and indie pop to present a unique musical world only they can create. In this album, NCT 127 reflects on their shared journey over the past 10 years and conveys a strong determination to continue forging their own path, driven by pride in the group and their deep bonds.
The main slogan ‘CALL 127’ clearly signifies the members and fans coming together once again as ‘One Team.’ The title track ‘Blingy’ is a hip-hop song blending aggressively tuned synth sounds with a solid drum beat and powerful chanting-style hooks, conveying the reggae and dubstep influences typical of NCT 127. The lyrics reveal growing energy and an aura that shines brightly like an enormous, continuously blazing firework.
The music video is filled with energetic scenes interspersed with nonstop high-speed racing imagery. Notably, TAEYONG contributed to designing the choreography for ‘Blingy,’ showcasing the group’s unique hip-hop style and reflecting confidence through top-class performances that captivate viewers. The choreography combines fierce hip-hop moves with dynamic music, alternating between lively and relaxed rhythms, and features distinctive hand gestures that leave a strong impression.
This new album focuses on hip-hop, featuring songs like ‘Legacy,’ which spreads positive energy like light across Seoul, the group’s foundational city; ‘Piñata,’ an energetic track blending rock and hip-hop, with lyrics expressing confidence to turn the stage into a fiery festival;
as if celebrating wildly by smashing a piñata. There is also the old-school hip-hop track ‘Step Up,’ which unleashes bold energy to fearlessly overcome personal limits, and the fun hip-hop song ‘IKR,’ presenting a determined attitude and firm belief in rejecting predictable routines, stunning the world with a fresh image fitting the title “I Know, Right?” Finally, the hyper-trap hip-hop song ‘Day After Day’ communicates moving forward while remaining true to oneself.
Additionally, there is the pop-rock track ‘127 Million Miles,’ featuring all seven members including DOYOUNG and JUNGWOO, blending the symbolic number ‘127’ with promises to always watch over and stand by each other despite any distance, elegantly expressing deep love and sincerity toward fans; the indie pop song ‘Getaway,’ offering encouragement and healing to those weary of fast-paced life, inviting listeners to take a day to wander freely and fully enjoy freedom; and the pop song ‘I mean, It’s about time,’ co-written by TAEYONG and JOHNNY, reflecting on the past decade and conveying the intention to rely on one another and walk side by side into the future.
Moreover, SM True joins in celebrating NCT 127’s 10th debut anniversary by opening pre-orders for the seventh full album ‘BLINGY’ (Photobook Ver. SM True Exclusive), which includes exclusive cover art and photo cards only available in this version. NCT 127 is also preparing for their fifth full concert tour, NCT 127 5TH TOUR 'NEO CITY : BANGKOK - THE REDLINE,' scheduled for Saturday, 31 October and Sunday, 1 November 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Thammasat Stadium.
