Noom Kanchai Admits Feeling Anxious After News of Rae MacDonalds Death, Rushes for Health Checkup

The entertainment industry and fans alike were shocked by the loss of the well-known adventurous actor and host. Rae MacDonald. Most recently, on 25 Aug 2026 GMT+7, at an event, the famous host and news anchor Noom Kanchai opened up to the media about the sad news and admitted that it made him feel "anxious" to the point he rushed for an extensive health checkup.

At first, he thought it was fake news.

"At first, I was very shocked. I was in a car on my way to work when the team sent me the news that P'Rae had passed away. Honestly, I first thought it was definitely fake news. But after calling to check and learning it was true, my heart started pounding, because from my perspective, P'Rae was a strong, adventurous person who carried a backpack exploring. I never expected something like this to happen."

He felt so anxious he immediately got blood tests and checks himself every morning.

"I admit I was very anxious. I had just interviewed a doctor on Friday, and by Sunday I rushed to the hospital for blood tests, checking cholesterol, sugar, liver values—everything in detail. Even now, I wake up every morning and check myself, wondering 'Am I really awake?' Doing news like this often and seeing colleagues suffer makes me inevitably look back at myself."

He shared a cautionary tale about hereditary high cholesterol and how to recognize it from the eyes.

"Actually, I've managed this condition for over ten years because I have genetically high blood cholesterol. A simple sign is a blue-white ring around my eyes, which appeared before I was 40. When tested, my cholesterol was indeed high even though I wasn't overweight and exercised. I once tried dieting and avoiding fried foods for two months, but when retested, levels rose again. The doctor advised continuous cholesterol-lowering medication under medical supervision."

He warns fans not to be complacent and urges prompt health checks.

"I want to remind everyone not to think this issue is distant. Some people see themselves as slim or exercise regularly and assume they don't have cholesterol or diabetes, but genetics can play a role. Illnesses are a silent threat we live with. The important thing is knowing what is going on in your body. Regarding medication, always consult and follow doctors' advice. I don't recommend buying or taking medicines on your own."
