Pu Blackhead Mourns Junior Colleague Re McDonald, Revealing Over 20 Years of Close Bond

Yesterday (25 Aug 2026 GMT+7) Pu Blackhead senior industry colleagues came to attend the memorial service Re McDonald at Wat Yang On Nut on the final night, sharing feelings and memories of their junior colleague, praising Re as a person who was consistent and always had clear goals in life

They bonded even before entering the industry, and Pu and Re have a shared history spanning over 20 years. They first met before Pu formed the Blackhead band and before Re began acting or hosting his own show. Back then, there were groups of young people—Re’s group and Pu’s group of older seniors. When they went out or socialized, they often gathered at a place called “Hoi Hoi,” which was like a home base and a central meeting point for everyone before heading home.

Recalling their last meeting on the talk show “Tid Khuay,” Pu said they had a chance to talk on the show, and Re could still remember old moments better than Pu himself, despite Pu being older. Re had a very good memory and paid close attention to details. On their last meeting, Pu confirmed that he saw no signs of illness or abnormal behavior from Re. He remained cheerful, playful, and thoughtful as usual. After the show, they never met in person again but did have a video call when Re visited mutual friends. They even talked about planning a trip together, but their schedules never aligned. When Pu heard the sad news, he had to call close senior friends of Re to confirm, thinking it might be false news. Pu was in Japan for work when he learned of Re’s death; after confirmation, he felt shocked and deeply saddened.

If defining Re’s character, Pu described him as consistently steadfast, with firm goals and determination, never distracted by anything else. Everything Re thought about and chose to do was positive and good. Finally, Pu sent a message to his dear friend: Everything you intended started well, and though you have now passed, this is not the end. Friends and those around you will continue to carry on your intentions. May you rest peacefully without any worries.
